The Bride is the Church

The Holy Spirit and the Bride's INVITATION = say "Come"

God's INVITATION to "whoever" = And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come.
Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
You might like to read the preceding verses...

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

The message is for the Churches - not unbelievers.

Revelation is for those who have ears to hear.

All that is the general call to repent and believe, it given to all people all over the earth.

There is the general call, but then there is also the personal call of those who God has predestined to save.
Only they get the eternal inheritance.
And this shows the dishonesty of Calvinistic predestination.

God commands everyone to repent. He commands everyone to believe. Calvinistic predestination makes this disengenuous, which is another word for dishonest.

Much love!

This invitation was to the Church not the World.

Read John 3:16.

It ways "whosoever will believe"..

"whosoever"

"all"

"as many as will receive"

"each"

"everyone"..

"anyone"

Only CALVINISM = Hyper-Calvinism denies that The CROSS OF CHRIST is Freely given to and for EVERYONE... which makes Hyper-Calvinism (TULIP) a Satanic, Cross Denying, LIE.
A "doctrine of Devils"... Hebrews 13:9

See, when you try to SELL "TULIP" "the 5 Points' you are selling Satan's lie.
Not a good idea to claim Christ as your Savior, while you are doing that,....Reader.

No, Arminians just refuse to acknowledge the fact that there is a general nature regarding the call of God's Word and the Gospel, but that God's saving ~ salvific ~ call is specific and issued only to His elect.

God commands everyone to repent. He commands everyone to believe.
Yes, and this is the general call of the Gospel.

Calvinistic predestination makes this disengenuous, which is another word for dishonest.
Not at all. The Arminian refusal to distinguish between the general call of Scripture to all and the true calling of God issued only to His elect ~ and thereby to accept the true nature of God's call ~ is tantamount to saying...

1. God's purposes are not invincible, that they can be thwarted, which is antithetical to what Job says in Job 42:1-2, that, in answering to God's 70 questions in Job 38-41, he finally says, "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."

...and...

2. that God's Word does not always accomplish that for which it is sent, which is antithetical to Isaiah 55:10-11, where Isaiah quotes God as saying, "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,"

Much love!
To you also, Marks; grace and peace to you.

True to here, and here only. But the 'everyone' is a select group; only those whom God calls are included in this everyone, as can easily be seen in Joel 2:32. Therefore, what Paul says in Romans 9:16 is correct (of course), that "it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, Who has mercy."

Grace and peace to all.

Yes, you are teaching Hyper-Calvinism.. which is to try to SELL it.

See, Hyper-Calvinism takes Calvinism, and makes it more Satanic.

The worst part, is that your teaching Attacks The Cross of Christ, by denying that God's Son, died for anyone who will trust in Christ.

This is the anti-CHRIST part of ":TULIP", as when you deny that Jesus gave Himself as God sent Him to earth to do.... which is die for us all.......for whosoever will believe", and for " All who call on the Name of Jesus".. "shall be saved".,

When you redefine that Satanically, as "only some".. then you have changed The Theology of The Cross of Christ into a Cross rejecting LIE.
And to lie about The CROSS, is ANTI-Christ, Theology. @PinSeeker

For one thing, I'm not "Arminian".

For another . . .

God's purpose is to gather a family of those who choose to love Him. And that purpose cannot be thwarted.

Much love!

Notice that the "faith comes" not from the Holy Spirit causing it, but from the message.... concerning Christ.

This means, that the message of the Gospel, when its BELIEVED, is Faith IN The Gospel.

Now, hyper-calvinism, flips that, subverts that understanding as "the holy Spirit causes you to have faith".. or "you are pre-chosen to be caused to believe".
LIAR!

Having not known me I accept you rlie as plain dumb ignorance!

Hyper-Calvinism takes Calvinism, and makes it more Satanic.

That is why you are doing, when you sell it in a Church or on a Forum. @Ronald Nolette

Its not a "Lie" that Hyper-Calvinism that owns your mind, as that is why you are here SELLING IT... is a Satanic Lie.

See, when you "limit the Cross".... as Hyper Calvinism does (TULIP -The 5 Points)... You deny The Cross and that is a Satanic Theology.

See, to deny The Cross, by teaching that Jesus didnt die for everyone, and specifically for "ALL who will call on the Name of Jesus" as John 3:16 teaches, then you are Denying The Cross of Christ, and that is "Anti-Cross" "Anti-Christ"... Theology.

How long have you been (selling it)... teaching it to people?

And you are accountable for that, for all those years. @Ronald Nolette

Perhaps you can get back to discussing things rather than attacking one another - a friendly request otherwise the thread will be locked

You have Thomas the Apostle, who said.. "I WILL NOT BELIEVE, unless I see the proof.. i have to see the nail prints, the wound in the side.... feel them".

So, Thomas is an UNBELIEVER, and just told you so, and He is an APOSTLE, whom Jesus Chose.
Now.. Jesus is resurrected and appears to all the Apostles.
He goes directly to Thomas the Unbeliever.. and says....

"LOOK< Touch... BELIEVE>...

And Thomas then does, BELIEVE..... and says. while kneeling.. "MY LORD< and my GOD". (KJV).

And Jesus says, Thomas....""blessed are those who BELIEVE without SEEING..""""

Now do you see that Reader?
Jesus just stated that Thomas BELIEVED, because HE SAW... with His EYES.
That is not the Holy Spirit causing Thomas to believe.
That is Thomas, a free will moral agent, DECIDING to Believe, because He is staring at a Dead man RISEN LORD.

And So, apparently, Jesus forgot to say..."Well, Thomas....you didnt believe because you saw me,.... you only believed because you were pre-destined to believe, as The "5-points of Hyper Calvinism told us"...

So... Jesus forgot to be a 5-Point Hyper Calvinist in this verse..

Why?

A.) Because JESUS is not a CALVINIST and Jesus is not the Hyper-Calvinist, "TULIP"> "5-point", author.

The message is for the Churches - not unbelievers.

Revelation is for those who have ears to hear.
The message is BOTH = for the churches and for those whom the Spirit and the Bride are calling out to!

The Spirit and the Bride is not calling out to the churches!!!
JESUS is speaking to the churches AND the Spirit and the Bride are responding to JESUS by calling out to "WHOSOEVER"
True to here, and here only. But the 'everyone' is a select group; only those whom God calls are included in this everyone, as can easily be seen in Joel 2:32. CORRECT

But ONLY God knows who HE will have mercy upon = not you or me or anyone else!

Our responsibility, as commanded by the LORD, is to preach the Gospel to "WHOSOEVER"

"and the Spirit and the Bride say Come, and whosoever will Come! and whoever thirsts = COME and drink FREELY.....!!!

Hi, Dan. I’m just curious. Could you give us an example of this? Thanks.

Could you give us an example of this?

So called "once saved always saved" is an example that came out of calvinism... but that false doctrine started with Augustine who John Calvin and Luther both greatly admired.

Very few churches / preachers these days don't teach the false doctrines of "once saved always saved"

The so called reformers failed to simply go back to God's Word and instead they listened to that nutjob Augustine! clueless-doh.gif
If the reformers had been led by the Holy Ghost, they would have gone back to God's Word.
