Where does it say in Scripture that everyone is invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb ?
Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
28) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Did Jesus mean this or not? Jesus did not speak in vain. You will never ever convince me of that. Let God be true. Men are the liars.

Much love!

My question to Arminians is, do you pray to the Lord — either just generally or for specific people that you know are not Christians — that they would be converted to Christ? I hope the answer is yes, and if so, why?

In like manner, a second question: When one is witnessing to a non-Christian, does it depend on the witness to say just the right thing to persuade one to make the right decision and choose Christ?

Grace and peace to all.

Revelatin 22… Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
That’s precisely the issue, David, that initially, before being born again of the Spirit, no one — no one, not even one — desires, this. In fact, because of the sinful nature in us, we the exact opposite… to do the will of our father the devil (see John 8:44 and 10:26).

But some will… when God calls them, when He takes out their heart of stone and makes it a heart of flesh. This is God’s mercy, which He gives to those whom He will. And He doesn’t have to do that, but does, for those whom He chooses to place His saving love on… those whom He knows in this way.

Carl is right; many in this conversation are raising the same indignant question Paul headed off in Romans 9:19-24:

“You will say to me then, ‘Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?’ But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, ‘Why have you made me like this?’ Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show His wrath and to make known His power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which He has prepared beforehand for glory — even us whom He has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?”

Grace and peace to you.

A member has just explained fruit above.

Imo, false, they are trying to cover up, the way they speak to some members on this forum.
Because, “ they” believe we follow Calvin...what’s their excuse in also getting personal with non calvinists....at one time they were banned.for doing that..........Jesus has already told us that we shall know them by their fruit.

.
The reason being imo is, because if we/ they don’t follow the person in question teachings, therefore they try and bully them into submitting to their teachings..their bullying is all over the forum...so imo, they try and justify their rotten fruit, by using Calvin as their “ bargaining “tool...to justify their appalling behaviour.

The best I can advise is this, have your say, post what you believe the Spirit of God to be witnessing to your heart..,let them as they keep doing, as we can all see on this thread...use every trick in “ their”book to force you to believe what they believe...getting extremely personal with members....God would never do this...let them take accountability for their own behaviour, and let them carry on excusing their behaviour, by using John Calvin as their excuse.

Also never repay an insult with another insult, it’s of the old man, ask God to help you with dealing with their abusive insults and he will...one option is to put them on ignore...then just carry on posting what you believe the Spirit is witnessing to your spirit, that way you don’t have to read all of their personal abuse thrown at you.imo.
Using Calvin as a bargaining tool to justify their behaviour...is not of God...it’s just their own way of trying to justify their behaviour and muck that they throw at the Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

What does the Bible say about disrespectful behavior?

Proverbs 9:7-12 ERV Criticize a person who is rude and shows no respect, and you will only get insults. Correct the wicked, and you will only get hurt. Don't correct such people, or they will hate you.

But correct those who are wise, and they will love you
.

They are just glorifying their own ego/ pride/ self..and we’ve all been there...edit maybe not all, some for sure.
Only God can show you your pride/ ego/ self...
.

Matthew 7:16-20

King James Version

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Meaning of Jesus fruit.

Jesus states that one will be able to identify false prophets by their fruits. False prophets will not produce good fruits. Fruits, which are a common metaphor in both the Old and New Testaments, represent the outward manifestation of a person's faith, thus their behaviour and their works.

I’m 100% sure that admin are watching..just let them do their job..and they will.

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Never shy away from God’s truth..just ignore the self seeking ,trolls....we must abide in their truth...or they will, with personal muck, throw everything at you.

Everything happens for a reason.

Scripture below from my understanding means, exactly what it says, only one must be a child of God to do so/ Born Again, ...he can only give rest to his spirit children...he can’t give rest to non believers.

Neither can you take his yoke upon you, unless we are Born Of Gods seed.and yes, his yoke is easy, once you understand what it means and are maturing in your knowledge of Christ.

We learn from our teacher the Holy Spirit, to cast our burdens onto Jesus...but, only to those he’s at work in, his own children the Born Again.
As we can all see/ voice...all interpretation of scripture differs.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
28) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

RJ says, and how does one do that , if they not know God in their spirit.

29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

RJ says, yes indeed Father God, once you brought me to that understanding of what it means to do this,

29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;..which means,,, we learn of him, with our hearts/spirit....from our teacher who permanently resides in our spirit..the seed of God, the Holy Spirit.

Yes, you can learn of him through reading the Bible, that’s not what he means for the Born Again, they know and learn of him, via their heart....not through just reading a bible...you must be Born Again and be gifted the supernatural faith to know him in your heart/spirit...the Bible confirms what we know in our spirit/ heart..we must be Born of the Spirit..without that gift..men/ woman are just leading themselves through scripture, imo.

So, HERE, on This Thread.. my "fruit" is that im anti-""doctrines of Devils"", exactly as i am in my ministries in Life, and exactly as i am, in 4 or 5 anti-Calvinism, and anti-HyperCalvinsim, Threads, that ive posted on THIS Forum.

That is my "FRUIT" regarding my behavior, against John Calvin and other Doctrine, connected to Him, that is worse.

Whereas your ""fruit""" it to try to sell Calvinism and Hyper Calvinism, by supporting it, and defending it.. So that is your "FRUIT" on this Forum, on This Thread, and i am not buying it.

RJ...explains...The fruit above is explained by the self/ old man,it doesn’t even make sense ,.☝️☝️☝️☝️its not Gods truth and you will not find any of the above words in Gods word, the Bible...above is false.

For emphasis to always go to Glorify God/ Jesus...the Spirit beautiful fruit, that a Born Again will bear, why , because the have been chosen and predestine, to bear the fruit of Jesus, just as his word says, fruit that will last.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

We bear Jesus fruit...here visitors, is what the fruit of the Spirit means.

The fruit below Is explained by the word of God, The only word we are to listen to....you can certainly see the difference ...in man’s words....which are of the self..which has been posted above, as I pointed out.

Then to see the truth of Gods Holy/ pure words.
.

Galatians 5

King James Version

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God
.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts
.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another

So posting Scripture is bad fruit ?

Being a deceived Calvinist <> Hyper Calvinist who is trying to do that to others....is more than just "bad fruit".

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

The Saving is the ": GIFT:":..... The SAVING is God's GRACE, that is the "GIFT::............not the Faith.

Let me show you the 3 "Gifts" that your verse is "contexting"..

1.) "The Gift of SALVATION"... which is your verse..

but this is also..

2.) "THe Gift of Eternal life"...

3.) "The GIFT of Righteousness"...

See those GIFTS? That is the contest of what is being GIVEN..........not Faith.

Our desire for His Desire comes from God to us FIRST.

I agree. Jesus came to save all the lost whoevers. “Come!”

And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:9-10

Whoever yes, but the only ones who come are those God gives to Christ. Otherwise they are unwilling as they do not have the love of God indwelling them. We are shown mercy and grace to be saved because of the great love the God the Father has for us.
God does not love all people with the same love. Some God loves with a great love just as Ephesians 2 says and those are the ones God saves, not that we loved God.

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will [f]by no means cast out.

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Describing the brethren, the church of the saved, written to them and about them only.

1 John 4
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

John 8:42
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.

You need to balance this with John 3:16

It is always God FIRST
This does not negate John 3:16 and Ephesians ch2 and Rev 22:17

Proverbs 16:11 - The LORD demands accurate scales and balances; he sets the standards for fairness.

20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.

37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

38
But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

40
But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

41 “I do not receive honor from men.

42
But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.

43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Appointed before time began, chosen from the beginning, given to us, this is for only His people.

2 Thess 2
13 But we are [f]bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through [g]sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our [h]epistle.

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and [i]establish you in every good word and work.

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

1 Thess 5
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

11 Therefore [a]comfort each other and [b]edify one another, just as you also are doing.

What do you see in this passage?

Luke 10, the will of God and Christ as to who knows them and is saved, so then since not all know Christ, not all did Christ will that they know Christ and God.

Jesus Rejoices in the Spirit

21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

22 All[g] things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

Truth is Christ does not pray for the world to know Himself and God, or even for their benefit.
John 17 speaks to those God predestined to be glorified in Christ as they were His. And God gave them to Christ to believe.
They are not of the world, they are of God.

John 17
6 “I have [c]manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.

9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep[d] through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them [e]in the world, I kept them in [f]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is [g]lost except the son of [h]perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify[i] them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
