John10:. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

Who ever or whatever is stronger than God, I suggest you worship.

That Jesus died and physically rose from the dead for their sins, and they can have their sins removed if they trust in what jesus did for them!
Didn't Jesus nail their sins to the cross 2000 yrs ago. Isn't it a forgone conclusion according to what has transpired that they are forgiven. They just don't know it, therefore they can't believe it.....but you can bring them the Good News.

Well their is forgiveness for them, but they have to appropriate it by trusting in Jesus. They must receive it personally to make forgiveness of their sins their own.

If nobody ever believed, what did Jesus die for?

Irrelevant question for people have believed
I don't think it's irrelevant at all Ronald, in fact its pertinence will threaten some views of what Jesus' death was, however, take courage and imagine if no one believed....what would you think Jesus have died for.

If absolutely no one believed in the death and resurrection of Jesus for their sins- then all would be lost! Scripture makes very clear what can be called the "needed formula for salvation"

Could 'the needed formula for salvation' be our personal appropriation of Gods forgiveness to ourselves? ie, the return of the prodigal son to his home?

The Father's acceptance/ forgiveness was long in place before the prodigal returned home......he(the Father) kept an eye on the distance in hope his son would return.....evidence by the words, 'while he was still a long way off....'

Now if the son had never returned would the Father's acceptance/ forgiveness/ love not have been there? His heart longs for all his children to be reconciled .....even those who think they are but are estranged (the older brother) from both him, their siblings and themselves.

That would be one way of putting it.

The needed formula for salvation is Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and our acceptance of that sacrifice of God the Son
