Yahushua declared Himself as “Master of the
Sabbath”. No
scripture said that He had or would change the
Sabbath, even after His death.
Yahushua kept the commandments and came to set us an example. (
John 8:55,
1 Peter 2:21-22). In fact, Yahushua expects His followers in these last days to be praying about the
Sabbath and keeping it:

This is an excellant subject Brother. I was thinking along these lines recently when I found this again:
Luke 4:16
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.../KJV
Some versions say stood to teach. (same thing). So what do we do with small bit of information? Look for the implied biblical principle? Consider how we may apply this to our own lives and walk? Sounds like a good place to start.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus (and the Father), their very essence. I think that's evident. Now us earth bound Christians have literally become the Temple of the Holy Spirit, right?
Jesus's custom was to go to the Temple and read to the people and teach the people. We also know that scripture says that, the Lord does not change. Ever. So I believe it is reasonable to assume that, Jesus still has the custom of going to the Temple to preach on the sabbath! That is us. Is it not? Yes it certainly is us, we are the Temple now. And if the Lord doesnt change then He will be there on thee sabbath wanting to teach and preach! Inside of us.
Do you keep the sabbath? Most people dont. Lots of reasons. I had to work, that was OT thing and doesnt apply to us anymore, blah blah blah.
I keep the sabbath sometimes. Rather, I try to in my heart because I know that we cant close the Temple services on the Sabbath when Jesus came to teach! I had to work Lord...Uh-huh...Sorry Jesus, no services today. That's rude if you think about it. And I'd never want to be rude to Jesus, so I try to keep the Sabbath open. I discovered that the Sabbath is a great day to fast because when we fast we focus on God more than usual day to day life, which might be at least a show of respect for the Lord.
But I dont even know how to "keep the Sabbath" in an orthodox way. I have no clue and I wonder if that is ok to Jesus as long my intentions in my heart are with Him, though lacking in orthodoxy? I think prolly so? Hey, Maybe Jesus will speak on this very subject next Sabbath at His service?!!
I hope that's on topic, lol.
