The Truth of God being 3 begins in Genesis where it is FIRST declared by God in Genesis chapter 1

the word 'God' is not accurate according to Scripture

the correct word for 'God' is from the Hebrew = 'Elohim'

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning
בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית (bə·rê·šîṯ)
Preposition-b | Noun - feminine singular
Strong's Hebrew 7225: 1) first, beginning, best, chief 1a) beginning 1b) first 1c) chief 1d) choice part

God
אֱלֹהִ֑ים (’ĕ·lō·hîm)
Noun - masculine plural
Strong's Hebrew 430: 1) (plural) 1a) rulers, judges 1b) divine ones 1c) angels 1d) gods 2) (plural intensive-singular meaning) 2a) god, goddess 2b) godlike one 2c) works or special possessions of God 2d) the (true) God 2e) God
Except that in Hebrew there exists the plural to show intensity--eg, Jesus died "deaths", but, of course, there was only one death, so this was to show the intensity of His death/sacrifice.

The plural is to show THREE
THREE that are Echad Elohim.

Keep this in your mind = Genesis is the FOUNDATION of all Truth that will Follow.

Genesis chapter 1 BEGINS the 'revealing' of Elohim and it will continually build unto the GOSPEL.

Do you SEE all THRE
E in the collective verses 1,2,3 ???
In the beginning Elohim created hashomayim (the heavens, Himel) and haaretz (the earth).
Gen 1:2 And the earth was tohu vavohu (without form, and void); and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Ruach Elohim was hovering upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And Elohim said, Let there be light: and there was light [Tehillim 33:6,9].

NASB, NKJV,
TEV, NIV “the Spirit of God”
NRSV,
JPSOA “a wind from God”
NJB “a divine wind”
REB “the spirit of God”
SEPT “a breath of God”

The Hebrew term ruach (BDB 924) and the Greek term pneuma (cf. Joh_3:5; Joh_3:8, see SPECIAL TOPIC: Spirit in the Bible) can mean “spirit,” “breath” or “wind” (cf. Joh_3:5; Joh_3:8). The Spirit is often associated with creation (cf. Gen_1:2; Job_26:13; Psa_104:29-30; Psa_147:14-18). The OT does not clearly define the relationship between God and the Spirit. In Job_28:26-28; Psa_104:24 and Pro_3:19; Pro_8:22-23 God used wisdom (a feminine noun) to create all things. In the NT Jesus is said to be God's agent in creation (cf. Joh_1:1-3; 1Co_8:6; Col_1:15-17; Heb_1:2-3). As in redemption, so too, in creation, all three persons of the Godhead are involved. Genesis 1 itself does not emphasize any secondary cause.

Gen 1:3 And Elohim SAID(WORD), Let there be light: and there was light [Tehillim 33:6,9].

the WORD was not created but light was AND you are CORRECT in saying 'light' but that will come later in chapter 2 as the "True Light that gives light to everyman who comes into the world"(John 1:4-5)

I have not spent time on the idea of the trinity, but, being cautious, as I listen to people try to explain it, it falls apart. It sounds incoherent. Like an invention of men. Maybe one day it will make sense. Ultimately, what ever I think the text says will not change the God I know.

Ruach HaKodesh is 1:2
Gen 1:2 And the earth was tohu vavohu (without form, and void); and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Ruach Elohim was hovering upon the face of the waters.

Ruach expresses Deity-as clearly seen here.

Trivia question: Has the Ruach HaKodesh ever stopped hovering over the waters?
Ve-ha'aretz hayta tohu va'vohu; ve'choshech al-pnei tehom. Ve'ruach Elohim merachefet al-pnei ha-mayim.

In transliteration:

וְהָאָרֶץ הָיְתָה תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ (Ve-ha'aretz hay'tah tohu va'vohu) — "And the earth was without form and void"
וְחֹשֶׁךְ עַל־פְּנֵי תְהוֹם (Ve'choshech al-p'nei tehom) — "And darkness was upon the face of the deep"
וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים מְרַחֶפֶת עַל־פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם (Ve'ruach Elohim merachefet al-p'nei ha-mayim) — "And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters"

Symbolically or Theologically, however, many traditions believe that the Holy Spirit continues to be present and active in the world. While not physically hovering over the waters, the Spirit is understood to be involved in sustaining life, guiding believers, and being present throughout history.

So, while the specific act of "hovering over the waters" is unique to the creation narrative, the Holy Spirit's presence and work are believed to be ongoing and eternal.

90% correct and missing the 10%, which does not seem like much but it is HUGE for understanding.

Understanding that you already have but is still out there in the scriptures until you draw from them.

i could give you a clue but it would be too easy.

take this clue - it is in the NT writings (not the Gospel but further)
