First off, the question was not how long a tribulation would last.According to Daniel and revelation ,the tribulation of the Christian Jews is 42 months .A time, times and a half.
Daniel
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
You said the tribulation of the Jewish Christians lasts for thousands of years but scripture says it only lasts 42 months. As time, times and a half.
There is only a time, times and a half from the time the persecution of the Jewish Christians starts in Daniel 11:33 to the great tribulation in Daniel 12.1.
Daniel 12;6-7
One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”
The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
Where do you get that these things take thousands of years to be fulfilled when the verse above says they are fulfilled in a time, times and a half which is 3.5 years?
The question was how long until all is fulfilled. KJV:
"And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."
So, we have a few things here. One cannot even use the "day year principle". This was not defined as 3.5 days, nor 3.5 years. There is 3.5 five of some time frame, but neither of those 2 options.
We know that all these things are not finished 2500 years later after Daniel. That should be a hint to those living in the so called last days, of the last 2 millennia.
Seems we are down to the last time frame of a thousand years, as we have passed the half a time from Daniel to the Messiah. 2 times and still no Prince to come. Seems either premil will be right, or amil and post mill will keep telling us for the next thousand years, "I told you so".
