Are you aware that Nebuchadnezzar was humbled and at the end of his life praised the God, acknowledging Him as Sovereign Lord over all creation?

If not, read Daniel 4, clear through to the end.

Daniel 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

If its depth equaled its width, then 60x6x6. So, somewhat alluding to the 666 number of the beast's name in Revelation 13.

The abomination of desolation that will be set up on the temple mount - a statue image of the beast (king) - that everyone will be required to worship, is similar somewhat to Nebuchadnezzar's image set up that everyone was required to worship.

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

It does not say in Daniel 3, that the gold overlaid statue image that Nebuchadnezzar had made was an image of himself. It does not say what the image was of. Maybe it was of Nebuchadnezzar, or maybe it was of some Babylonian god. We don't know.

btw, the person who becomes the beast (king) will no longer be in the Antichrist stage of his evolution.
