Hi, nice to "see" you.

It's been hot here for a couple of weeks.

Still finishing up with some red tape stuff at a bank where mom's check would go. Need to go back this week as they need to make an appointment for me. @amadeus I did get mom off of the other account where my check goes.

Also, the city is inspecting our entire apartment building on Wednesday and Thursday so need to be home for that.

Carry on and give God the glory!

Sounds good. I like having potatoes, sour cream, butter and Mexican cheese. I boil the potatoes in water. Boiling is tricky, boil them too little or too much and it will either be raw or start to form cracks. But with cracks are still OK and good.

Hello, still hot. Managed to walk to the nearby Target in the early evening to pay my bill. Got a few groceries too.

Not sure how itll happen but I had a lot of fun imagining hosting a party for our family ---maybe Naomi's birthday.

I know what Elijah's family likes to eat and theyre from the midwest. Id serve meatloaf, chicken tenders, corn casserole, and white chocolate cheesecake, all home cooked. Id put on a crockpot with natural potpourri for a nice atmosphere and find some flowers. I could get serving dishes secondhand.

Id give away a canvas photo collage of all of us.

Id hope to boost morale a bit. Its been tough going. But the whole point would be to highlight that were stronger together.

Yes, I felt the earthquake yesterday. Two big, soft jolts. Thankfully it was only about four seconds. We also had one about five days ago....it was further away so didn't feel it as much.

The Northridge quake in the early 1990s was 35 seconds and caused much damage and some deaths.

Happy you weren't affected too much. Not as bad as that old one I remembered hearing about on the news when I was up north.

It was quite violent. I got up and ran for the hallway. One of my paintings flew off of the wall and I felt it brush the hair on my leg! It didn't hit me!

Baby woke me up but now my mind is awake for awhile.

Was feeling discouraged by a feeling like Ive been waiting on things to improve for too long.

But I trust God. My prayers have gotten more honest. And my time with Him helps me stay the course.

Hi everyone.

Still been hot here but it's cool at night. Finally got my living room window fixed. It wouldn't open. The maintenance guy said the plastic lock slid down! But he also oiled the track.
