Go to mental health clinic.
I disagree with this. Being homeless doesn't mean a person is mentally ill. This could lead to worse things like being placed on meds that one doesn't need, and being in a worse situation because psych meds often cause dysfunction.

Then we Christians should not be concerned about that, and it is also written...

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Proverbs 25:21-22
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

It is because we have been scammed multiple times but we still did not closed our doors to the people who approach us. They may seem sincere when asking for money, but their true intentions might be to exploit your kindness. Once they get the money, they will disappear without a trace.

But the responsibility lies entirely with them. We did not sin by giving them the money they requested. They are the ones who sinned. And hey, I'm not trying to argue. I'm just (confus3d dnt turn into a smiley) Why can't Christians on this forum bend the rules for the sake of following Christ? This has also been another eye-opening experience for me after conducting a social experiment in this forum years ago.
I agree. I felt grieved after reading this thread the other day. On the one hand, scams are very prevalent. (I don't think this one is a scam.) But on the other ....what are we told to do scripturally?

James 2:14-20
[14]What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
[15]If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
[16]And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
[17]Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
[18]Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
[19]Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
[20]But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Someone may say, "Well, she isn't a brother (or sister)." Do we know that? Then give her Christ. Here again is what Jesus said we are to do

Matthew 5:42
[42]Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

I believe God would say this to us ..... "Show me your faith by your works." Even Peter said to the lame man at the gate .... "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, I give... in Jesus' name!" Whatever we have to give, we need to be in prayer about how and what to give. God blesses us to be a blessing to others.

I agree. That's why I said that I disagree with the advice that was given that she should go to a mental health clinic.

Thinking it may have had something to do with insurance-? and how to get access to a case worker who has homeless dept access. Aside from mental health maybe? Idk You would know best- But notice, next advice is for "no insurance' then social services for a case worker.
idk- that's how I took it. I read it a few times because i thought it was odd advice too. still not real sure.
IDK if any of it matters since she (OP) seems to be awol now.

They can't make anyone take medication.

Of course your not mentally ill.

Go along with therapy. And case manager will be assigned to you.

Case manager can help you with your problems.

I hope you understand.

They aren't going to lock away anyone.

Its therapy.

Or. Why can't you go back to parent's house.

Peace.

Btw, the hospitals even have to take in the homeless as patients....at least here in California.

The hospitals also have a social worker to advise a patient on how to get benefits. A lot of hospitals have a charity that will pay the bills for patients on low income.

Yes, I think @barbg003 might be gone.

You need case manager. Their trained to help clients with problems.
They can't make anyone take medication.
No one will be locked away.
I know of someone who went to mental health clinic.
You participate in therapy.

Its either outpatient or inpatient.its just taking turns talking.

Senior centers I think have case workers.

And I think certain food banks might have case workers.

I'm telling you the truth.

I used to be strepho. My phone died. I had to register again.

It's your decision.

Take care.

And yet, beware of organizations who will want to find ways and reasons to talk you out of keeping your baby, or even mental health organizations who will try to label you to make you look incompetent to keep your child.

I would strongly advise not going the route of seeking "help" from a mental health professional. There are SO MANY other, BETTER options.

New account, eh, Strepho?
Sister.
Its outpatient therapy.
Clinic won't take anyones baby.
I know of person who went to mental health clinic.

The person had case manager. And participate in outpatient therapy.

My phone stopped working. I lost all my Gmail. Had to buy new phone. And register.

Other places have case workers.

Another term is Social Worker.

Youth and Social services department. May have case workers.

Social services might have social workers.
Try calling these places. Since your not comfortable with mental health clinic.

I tried to help you as Christian.

Your suspicion is unwarranted.

Your a adult. Do whatever you want.

I moved on to other subjects.

They will if it suits them. They tried to do so to me because of the trauma in my history. (It was a cult threat that they tried to use some things against me because I was talking/exposing them and breaking free.) But God intervened. And I know many whose children have been stolen through the system. My granddaughter was one. It's just something to be very cautious and aware of. I know you mean well.

I am not the one who started this thread. You need to reread the posts.

My words of caution are based on personal experience as well as the experiences of many others. There are better options than a mental health professional. That has nothing to do with her situation. She needs financial and practical help ....not mental health help. The best place for that is a ministry focused on helping women in crisis. They can direct her to safe resources. In my town, there is a Christian crisis pregnancy center, for instance, who helps with medical care and clothing, diapers, food, etc.

If its government, yes, they might take baby. Person I knew went to private health clinic and no problems.

There's other places that have social workers.

She doesn't have to go to health clinic.

She can do Google search.

I'm no expert on this.
As Christian, I tried to help.

I moved on.
Take care.

Beware…..scammers are everywhere.
It was raised before, but that ultrasound is dated 1996…..
She was not honest about that….

She wants money not prayers…..
They prey on Christians because they know we are inclined to help….

Pray by all means…God will help if she is genuine….

No, that is the year the mother was born. Look on the right side for ultrasound date.
