How can you deny the deity of Christ but still insist He is NOT God? How do you define the deity of God?

The term deity connotes several aspects of God that distinguish him from his creation: eternality, infinity, immutability, self-sufficiency, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, and transcendence.

Jesus, as a man, lacks the divine qualities that distinguish God from his creation. He walked the earth, ate bread, cried, didn't know the times or seasons, grew from childhood to adulthood, needed his mother's care, needed his father's protection, traveled from city to city, and died for our sins. These are human attributes and limitations.

But Jesus is not like other men. He is sinless, and he is God's image in a way that no other human being can be. He is the exact representation of God's character and his will. No other human being will be God incarnate as Jesus is.

What's really sad is not realizing that if one does not believe Jesus IS God in the flesh, they are without a Savior! They are still dead in trespasses and sins, destined to die twice!

Exactly. That's why I'm passionate about this issue. Believing that Jesus is deity, that He is God is a fundamental belief of Christianity. I do not believe that someone can be a Christian without believing that.

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The title "Lord" is reserves ONLY for God. If you look up that title in the rest of scripture you can see it is only one that can be used in reference to God.

Jesus used the word here:

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

So, by confessing and declaring with our mouths that "Jesus is Lord" we are saying that He is God and we are bowing to Him as our God, just as the disciples did here:

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Would God allow anyone but God to be worshiped? No way! He is a jealous God! He alone should be worshiped.

Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

If Jesus is not God, then He would only be a god, but God says "Do not worship any other god".

You are incorrect. First, a deity can't die and since Jesus died for our sins, he is not a deity. Second, a deity is eternal and since Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, he is not a deity. Finally, everything was not created "by" him; everything was created "for" him.
