It says she has a clairvoyant spirit and she is saying I know who you are Paul gets mad and removes it from her.It does say she was the kings seer also and is why Paul has to flee.
One thing to remember is that Satan cannot create, he can only counterfeit what is real like tongues, interpretation, prophecy and auras to name just a few.

That's not true and you know it.

So be it, that is just your opinion, and you know it is false. I Have been speaking generally on the topic from my experience without reference to you at all.

Goodbye

It says she has a clairvoyant spirit and she is saying I know who you are Paul gets mad and removes it from her.It does say she was the kings seer also and is why Paul has to flee. Its in the acts you can read it yourself.Acts -16:16-18. Depends on which bible you read some are slightly different.Paul ends up taking a serious beating for doing it .
I don't see what you see in my King James Bible. I did however write the following 28 years ago...

Acts 16:16
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

Most of us have heard the statement of a damsel in distress. However, we do not hear very often what we have here in the book of Acts, known as a “damsel possessed.” The lady had a devil spirit playing with her brain cells in the field of divination. The woman had a job working for people who were running a business with this lady, and she was bringing in the bucks “brought her masters much gain.” The spirit of divination is the one who tries to tell us the future. It's the practice of foreseeing or foretelling future events. The word “soothsaying” means basically the same in that it deals with prediction or foretelling. This is nothing new. We have many of them today with their own one-nine-hundred numbers and their own television shows. They are looking to give information about our love life, the stock market, and who is going to win the next ball game.

Acts 16:17
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

She or should I say it was being a pain in the neck to Paul by following him around and saying something like—hey everyone will you please look at the way these jerks dress, who tell us they are the servants of the most high God. It's okay to laugh at these bums because they will still let you join their little stupid religion.

Acts 16:18-19
And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

Paul said to the spirit inside of the woman that it had to come out by the authority that is in Jesus Christ, and he, the spirit, came out of the woman’s body the same hour and that means immediately. Now this is going to cause a big problem down at the one-nine-hundred center because the woman has lost her connection and will not be able to tell who might win the next horse race. That made those bookies so mad that they agreed together to capture Paul and company to bring them to the police to report that they were interfering with their place of business.

God knew what was coming. If he tells that to me. I don't get how that puts me into seeing the future. I would just be telling others what God told me.
A Seer sees the future. I was given a vision. Its Biblical. You just don’t want to get it.

I just don't want to get it because you cannot see what has not happened yet.
Says you. You are a denier! I am a witness not you. I was there. I saw it and frankly, so did someone else.

Whose testimony should the readers of our exchange give me weight to? You, who have arguments from your own understanding. Or the many seers here who have gave testimony like I have, which is Biblical?

Yes, but that's all I know about it. I'd like to talk with someone who has this besides the three other women at church. All they've seen is bright white the same as me. But in visiting other churches I've also seen dark blue, gold and green. What could those mean?

When I had a false gift of seeing Aura's I would walk into a lecture room and see different colours over all the heads. This is long gone.

Sounds like you need to contact a trusted mature and wise leader from you church and pray together about it. Such a genuine gift could prove to be useful to the oversight.

On a forum like this everyone is an expert in their own limited experience - best to seek understanding elsewhere.

I'm not denying the Lord shows you stuff. I'm saying what he's showing you does not take you into a different dimension.

Are you certain? There is the fellow whom Paul knew, that he didn't know if he was in the body or out of it, what do you make of that?

Much love!

I know a man in Christ, who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.

Yes, mediums can see auras on everyone. Mine is only on those who are either preaching the Word, or teaching the Word. This is genuine and from God, not demonic. Besides, I keep the commandments of God and stand on 1 John 5:18. God always answers my prayers and I did ask him to protect me from receiving anything evil, and only give me the gift from Himself. And as most of the time when I pray, it was answered immediately.

The Greek word translated “caught up” is harpazō (#726 ἁρπάζω), and it means to seize, to carry off or carry away by force, and it can often have the connotation of carrying someone or something away speedily by force. Orthodox theology misunderstands this verse and teaches that “Paradise” is heaven, but it is not; “Paradise” is on earth in the future. Because orthodox theologians teach Paradise is in heaven, most English Bibles translate harpazō as “caught up” into Paradise. But “Paradise” is not “up.” They are both future. Paul was not caught “up” to them by a revelation vision, he was “taken,” “forcibly taken,” or “forcibly taken quickly” to them. Paul was “taken” to Paradise, the future earth, in a vision. Visions of the future, or of the presence of God, occur with some regularity in the Bible.

How does God telling Joseph what Nebuchadnezzar's dream means gets Joseph into the future? Take me for an example: My boss told me last week that this week I would be reporting to a different building because the company is knocking down the old building. He told me this a week before I was to report and 4 weeks before the building comes down and neither of us saw into the future.
Joseph Dreams of His Future: Joseph had two dreams where he saw himself ruling over his brothers and family. These dreams symbolized his future prominence and leadership. However, his brothers became jealous and resentful because of these dreams

Daniel Forthtells Nebuchadnezzar's Future:

24 “This is the interpretation, Your Majesty, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king: 25 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes. 26 The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules. 27 Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”

The Dream Is Fulfilled

28 All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar.

Hello,

just want to point out something useful from Deuteronomy, Since I do not want to see these lights or darkness in people for the reason that I started to judge people, and saw too many dark things lurking around and it creep me out, I found I did not need this at all.

Instead, In Deuteronomy, there are principles related to discerning true prophets or teachers and avoiding false ones. please consider the relevant passages, from them, I extracted practical guidance:

Deuteronomy 13:1-5 (KJV)

"1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee."

Explanation and Practical Guide:
  • Testing the Message: The primary test here is whether the prophet's message leads people away from worshiping the true God (Yahweh) and toward other gods. This is a foundational principle: any message that contradicts or leads away from the worship of the one true God is to be rejected.
  • Consistency with God's Word: Even if signs or wonders accompany the prophet's words, if they advocate for worshiping other gods or departing from God's commandments as revealed in Scripture, they are false.
  • Spiritual Discernment: This passage teaches us to be discerning of messages claiming divine authority. Even miraculous signs are not sufficient proof of a true prophet if their message deviates from God's revealed will.

In Red is the most frequent deviations from God's words that I see today, if someone teaches against the commandments, they are not from God.

Deuteronomy 18:20-22 (KJV)

"20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

Explanation and Practical Guide:
  • Accuracy of Prophecy: This passage emphasizes the importance of accuracy in prophecy. A true prophet's words should come to pass as spoken. If a prophet's predictions consistently fail to materialize, they are not speaking on behalf of God.
  • Fearlessness in Discernment: Believers are instructed not to fear prophets who do not align with God's truth, even if they claim divine authority. This encourages discernment and critical evaluation of spiritual messages.
  • Testing Over Time: Prophecies and teachings should be evaluated over time, not just in the immediate context. Consistency and faithfulness to God's character and revealed will are key factors in discerning true from false spirits.

Practical Application:

  • Know God's Word: Regularly study the Scriptures to understand God's character, will, and commands.
  • Pray for Discernment: Ask God for wisdom and discernment (James 1:5) to recognize true and false spirits.
  • Evaluate Messages: Compare any spiritual message or prophecy with Scripture. Does it align with the truth of God's Word?
  • Consider Fruit:
    Matthew 7:16 (KJV):
"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"
This verse is part of Jesus' teaching on discerning false prophets by the fruits they bear. He uses the analogy of fruit-bearing plants to illustrate that good results (fruit) cannot come from something inherently bad or deceptive (thorns or thistles). Thus, by examining the outcomes or effects of someone's words or actions, one can discern whether they are aligned with God's truth and righteousness.
  • Seek Counsel: Seek wise counsel from mature believers and church leaders when discerning spiritual matters.
Blessings.

So if I have a dream about my job that I will go to tomorrow and in my dream I see myself doing my job. Does that mean...

a.) I was in the future
b.) I just had a dream

I'm talking about where he says a man was caught up to "the third heaven", not "paradise". "Third heaven" has one other reference in the Bible, where Peter is talking about the first heaven and earth, and the heaven and earth that now is, and that there will be a new heaven and earth.

So then, Biblically speaking, the first heaven was before the flood, the second heaven is now, and the third heaven is the one coming, that is yet future.

Much love!

You had a dream. And your boss who told you to report to a new building could end up wrong, a fire could destroy that building, and you wouldn't end up reporting there.

Prophecy from God is always true.

If God tells me or shows me a picture or a video of what something will be like next year. That does not mean I went to the future. It only means God told me about something or showed me a picture or something that we would call today in English a video.
