Good job my dress code, isn’t what God judges...he looks at the heart/ spirit of man/ woman.
He looks at the inner not the outer!...I’ve often gone to church in jeans, t,shirt...doesn’t stop God from Loving me!...
"Pastors" that lead church service wearing blue jeans, casual shirts and base ball caps.

@Arthur81 The followers of Jesus and those in the early church - the early Christians - didn't big themselves up with special robes etc, they were brothers and nobody more important than anybody else. The fact that today some pastors, priests ministers etc do big themselves up is part of what is wrong with the church.
If a stranger came to my fellowship they would not be able to tell who is the pastor as he doesn't big himself up by wearing fancy dress.

Yes, and even though they did those wonderful things they didn't wear special clothes to do them and we don't need anybody to wear special clothes to do those things today either. i was thinking about King David this morning and how he danced in praise of god without any clothes.

I find the phrase "big themselves up" to be a value judgment from your own personal bias. A statement online I find describes how I see this matter is: "A pastor’s vestments are like a uniform that he wears when he is performing his duties." Personally, I do not care about clerical clothing but am not impressed by the gaudy vestments of churches like the RCC and Anglican. A simple black robe of many Presbyterians I personally find suitable, if a Pastor wishes to wear it. As a Baptist, I find a suit appropriate or a robe if the Pastor wishes. Living in Florida now, I've found it shocking how some will dress to attend worship. At 82, what do you expect? ;)

My parents taught me to dress up for church. I still do, though not as much as I used to. I wear khaki pants with a polo shirt (and sweatshirt, if necessary), and in the summer I wear khaki shorts and athletic shoes. The thing is: I don't think it's necessary to sit in a pool of sweat - I wear comfortable clothes.
I don't like to judge those who come to church in blue jeans, though.
How a church pastor dresses when he leads in church worship service is a matter of honor and respect.

I’ll dress up for work or a date but not to be with who I am not to have any god before?! God, I value you so much, any ‘ol thing’ll do. Nothing says love like that.

Its not about him but who he represents.
If you went to a convention and saw 2 displays looking as follows, what would you think of the companies they represent?
OPTION A
A dilapidated booth that was rotten wood with worms and not even level and could not even bear the firms products.
The reps are in rags, have BO, bad breath and alcohol breath as well and dont look at you as much as gawk at you. Not only can they not answer your questions, they are put out you even ask.
OPTION B
Of the 100’s of booths at the convention, this one wins awards year in and year out for innovation, elegant design and seem less integration. It is known to be the biggest and the best booth at the convention. Its products are all on display in revolving sets of tracks that pair perfectly, e.g., large computer with large cell phone, small computer with small cell phone.
Their reps are dressed impeccably, well versed and friendly.
Maybe Option B is the inferior products but the fact that they went to the trouble they did speaks to their heart.

No, it’s not an opinion. If you are poor, so poor you only have the clothes on your back, that is one thing.
If the fact of the matter is that you have an entire wardrobe, the fact of the matter is you have attire options.
It’s one thing to be in the audience. When you are representing God, which is what priests do, in their capacity to reconcile people to God, why make the choice to dress down?
At least my pastor wears newish shoes but still chooses to dress down, like he’s still a kid. Jeans and tee shirt or sweatshirt.

You’ve just posted your opinion..I don’t agree with it.
I wear an old t shirt and sometimes jogging bottoms to church...as I’m a keep fit bunny...therefore jog to church and God still Loves me!
Clothing does not define who you are in Christ!
Our spirit is Born Again not our clothing.
If the church pastor shows no respect, honor as he lead worship most people and church youths will follow his lead. Satan laughs!!!
