that does not say man is "spiritually " dead.
It says
“ you “were once spiritually dead.

Are you saying we weren’t spiritually dead and alienated from God’s Spirit?

That’s why our spirit needs to be Born Again by Gods Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit?

We need to be Born Of God’s seed...His Living seed...that liveth and abideth forever...where? in our hearts/ spirit that’s where.

I already have many times scroll back and you will find it?

Can you answer my questions that I asked of you please in my last post, thanks?
I just read every post of yours in this thread that you posted today and " SPIRITUALLY " dead was never quoted in the bible.

Its not in the text but added by you with your thoughts on the passage in Ephesians 2.

I have posted scripture above that said we were spiritually dead, that is Gods word.

So I’m afraid I take God’s word over yours.

Now are you able to answer my questions that I asked of you?

Are you;Born Again or are you a Christian?

Ephesians 2:1-10

1 In the past you were spiritually dead because of your disobedience and sins. 1

Whose “ you”? @ChristisGod ?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say just one time man is “ spiritually “ dead. You added the word spiritually to the text.

It’s simple to prove if it’s true by actually quoting the verse and the version.

Here I’ll prove it’s not there from the NIV below in Ephesians 2

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindnessto us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast.10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Bad translation since the Greek does not have pneuma or any of its derivatives in the original Greek manuscripts.

Matthew 8:22
But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

Like the above verse shows, scripture does not have to always say spiritually dead to be understood in that way.

The dead here were physically alive and spiritually dead. Only those who follow Christ are spiritually alive as they are made alive in the Spirit by God.

Another example Romans 6, and the state of being alive from the dead. These people who were dead in sins and trespasses, God made them alive who were dead, so then spiritually alive to God means someone who has eternal life, as opposed to someone who is spiritually dead and does not have eternal life in them, they are perishing and will perish. Of course, they were physically alive before God made them alive from the dead. Everyone born must be born again to have eternal life according to the Spirit of God, this is the NEW MAN of the Spirit of God, created in righteousness and holiness, and not the old man of the flesh which follows after the lusts of the flesh.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

And this, if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
You are dead in your body cause of sin, dying now you will die. ashes to ashes, dust to dust, the walking dead are you.
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God, that means your spiritual life, as in Christ you are alive.
And guess what, you will be bodily resurrected and have a glorified alive body that can never die as he also has now.

Romans 8
. 6 For to be [b]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [d]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Colossians 3

Not Carnality but Christ

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Character of the New Man

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

The word for spirit/ spiritual is not in the biblical text. You added it like the amplified Bible did which is no translation at all.

Why is it not in the NIV, NASB , KJV or ESV ?

Because it’s not in the original Greek that’s why. There is no variant that contains the word spiritual in any text

It's not faithful to the text, and is more like a commentary, someone's interpretation of the text.

Much love!
It doesn’t have to be faithful to text.

Our spirit is Born Again...we aren’t Born Again using text, we are Born Again by Gods Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit

Text has nothing to do with the live spirit birth.

Our spirit has been brought from death to life..Born Again.
