Yep. Paul corrected Peter.
Yes.
"walked not uprightly, according to the TRUTH"... of the GOSPEL"...
In fact it was a group doing this... and Peter would be the lead, as he's the Apostle.

Yep. Paul corrected Peter.
The Lord specifically chose Paul to be the apostle to the Gentiles to show that salvation is offered to all people.
I don't think Ill do that.I need you to post my quote... where you say that this "curse" was "addressing someone else".
Is that fair to accuse and not show it?I don't think Ill do that.
I said all I wanted to say on it.
I don't think Ill do that.
I said all I wanted to say on it.
In my opinion, from observation, it often seems to be a self-protective response. Protecting some area of insecurity or fear or pride, etc.....causes people to take offense too easily and get aggressive and go on the offence. An area of the soul that hasn't yet opened up to the Lord for that very reason of self-protection and self-preservation.I’m not talking about that , whatever Jesus did it was the right thing to do.
What does Jesus teach about throwing insults at each other, accusing the brethren of all sorts of un- truths about another’s character?
Brilliant post Sis, imo.In my opinion, from observation, it often seems to be a self-protective response. Protecting some area of insecurity or fear or pride, etc.....causes people to take offense too easily and get aggressive and go on the offence. An area of the soul that hasn't yet opened up to the Lord for that very reason of self-protection and self-preservation.
The irony is that there is nothing to fear in opening ourselves up to the light of the Lord......because He isn't out to hurt us, but rather heal. So we really are believing a lie....a stronghold and snare that needs to be taken down to let the truth in.....truth that sets us free.
1. I think in general we should be aware that it is easy to misunderstand either the content or the intent of what others say on forums especially.Ok, I appreciate your input and seeing it from another perspective.
How can I grow as a person or in Christ, if I take what some people/ members say to me personally?
Why would I take what they say to me personally as in negative/ destructive on board into my heart/ spirit?
What would happen if one did that to a child growing up....do you think they could end up with mental health problems ?
Why is there so much mental health problems in the world?
If one’s parents kept telling their daughter/ son that they were thick....didn’t you believe what your parents said to you growing up? I did.
Amen!...Sis!..well said.imo.1. I think in general we should be aware that it is easy to misunderstand either the content or the intent of what others say on forums especially.
2. That part of the carnal nature that takes offense too easily and wants to react needs to die out or be healed.
3. Self-awareness is a good start.......it's hard to repent or seek God's help with problems we aren't aware we have. So we need to allow (if that's the right word) the Lord to shine His light or put His finger on whatever our issue happens to be.
Im not sure exactly what you mean by this or what you are trying to accomplish. Is that fair to accuse and not show it?
If you accuse me again,.. then post the quote.
Otherwise, dont do it.
Congratulations on taking the high road!! Just to say, I see that you are apologizing for your own actions while not accusing others. I wish they could see that also!I never wanted to accuse you in this thread. I only wanted to apologize for my response to the quote. That is why Im not posting it.
Jesus warned us not to insult people. You don't want to insult someone who is better at it than you. When we start hurling insults at each other, I believe we have all done it.
Accusations flying around about our character....I mean I’ve been accused of being a devil worshipper....I’m sure I’ve accused others also....why do we do it?
Does it stem from childhood ,is it a flesh pattern that we learnt from our human parents?
It’s certainly not of the Lord is it?
You omitted all that she said so to make your point. In doing so you actually reiterated what she posted when you said, God gives....The NT denies what you said,
The NT says that God gives.. "Pastors, Apostles, Evangelists, Teachers, and Prophets"....for the "Perfecting of the Saints'.
I pray God sees fit to heal you of your fixation with Calvinism. The Reason people go to Church is to learn, is to be perfected, in their walk with God... also regarding their Faith.
The reason people should come to Forums, is for the same reason, but, Forums, are dangerous, because they are not created , in most cases, to Stop harmful Theology.....they instead enlist it and then the damage is then done as the harmful theology is allowed to harm real believers.
Also, the way you perfect a Christian, is to teach them the TRUTH, and help them out of deception.
Now, there are some who say.....that a "Catholic, or a Mormon, or a JW,, are not "really Christians"...
But, the truth is...some of them may be born again, yet they are DECEIVED by their CULT.
That is not "of God", and they need Help.
A Calvinist is the same situation.

Saving faith is distinct from every works-righteous system because it isn’t the result of human effort.
