When you act dishonestly, that is what needs to happen. Depart from iniquity, and make a clean start. This really does make for an example. Dishonest practices are fleshy, and need to be put off, repented of.

UN-believers need to believe in Jesus or perish. Believers already believe.
Jesus said except you be born again you CANNOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.......ye MUST be born again.

My point was, i couldn’t/ didn’t believe in Jesus, not until God brought me to believe in Jesus “ in my spirit “ when he gifted me that faith / via His Living Holy Spirit and made my spirit “ Born Again “ “ Spirit gives birth to spirit “ very easy to understand...we are spirit led, we are not intellectually led,God is Spirit, therefore we are led in spirit and truth....I know in my spirit that God is who he says he is and Jesus is who he says he is...how do I know this, because my spirit is Born Again, by Gods Living witness His Living Holy Spirit...he and only He made my spirit come to life in Christ....he brought me from death to being spiritually Alive!!....our spirit must be Alive.....Hallelujah and Praise God!
The Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children, as I’ve said..we need 100% the Living spiritual rebirth, before you can know anything about Jesus in one’s “ spirit “ that is where we are Born Again.
We can read all about Jesus in the Bible from our own human understanding...
We need to know all about Jesus in our spirit, not our own human intellect.
Well, Gods Living witness the Holy Spirit is our guide and teacher/ helper....when he makes our spirit Born Again.
Man / woman can’t do that as it’s a Living spiritual birth that only God can do via the Living Holy Spirit.
We can only come into the righteousness of Christ when our spirit is Born Again.
None is righteous not until we are in Christ/ Born Again, then we are clothed in HIS righteousness.
Never take any Glory away from Jesus ( not that you do)...
He is at the forefront “ always” ...we’re forever learning aren’t we?

Interesting that I just read a little article that just came to my e-mail about glorying in the Cross. There are those who seem to glory in something else besides the Cross of Christ. Think that tips us off to there being something off if Christ and the cross are not at the center of what someone is bringing.
Amen, mere mental assent to Jesus doesn't save. We must be born of the Spirit, as Jesus said. Which gives life to the inner man (eternal life)...because it re-connects and reconciles us back to the God we had become separated from because of our sin/iniquity. Those with just a mental belief of the 'outer man' but are not born of the Spirit can't be said to be our and His brothers and sisters......on the contrary, the bible speaks of there being false brethren and tares among the wheat. (Doesn't necessarily mean they are all bad people, and we hope some of them might truly come to Christ later on, but it's not good at all if they influence or hold sway over a congregation...since they can't discern and know the things of God in their present condition.)
The devil is a clever and deceitful beast, that's for sure, but not smarter than the Lord, and it wont' do him any good in the end.
Think you know very well that people here are not disputing that we need to deny and die to the flesh and carnal nature. Since you accuse of that, please show us where we have been doing that.
And you have not responded to the scripture I brought where Jesus says you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven except you be born again. What does that do to your doctrine of "righteous" unbelievers being saved based on their own righteousness and not by being born again based on receiving/believing in Christ and the gospel by faith? Jesus also said there is only one way to the Father...and that is through HIM.
Will you respond to those scrips or do I need to put on a helmet and duck to ward off some more beatings and ad hominem personal false accusations......which sadly the moderators allow to go on here with impunity, while others get booted off for an entire month for much less or unjustly. Or maybe its' because those who really do follow Christ don't tend to go crying to the admin.
Yes, yes... God is good....and the devil is bad. I find some here have such an infantile approach....based on a humanistic religion of self-preservation...so much so, that the bible is fully misunderstood...as if we have to dumb down that much to believe in God.
Your whole approach is religious...on the carnal scale. Somebody says...you need to believe ON Jesus, and you can't help be triggered in your conditioning...reacting in a programmed way. Your religious certainty stands in the way of truth and eternal life. Of course you think your belief system provides this... at least in a future Valhalla type of after-life.
You still think people die and go to heaven. Some people insist that their animals do. But all this is just meant to make people feel good.
The reason why some here are SOOOOOO basic in their approach is because they have NOT yet taken the first step in the right direction. Or if they have, they are stuck in a loop. It sounds something like this...believe in Jesus, believe in Jesus... (Go to a mirror and recite that dozens of times...as I'm sure some do.) But doing that doesn't mean any of these have an actual faith. Vain repetition doesn't change reality. Just a silly religious notion, is all. And these take up room and divert people from actually progressing. They neither enter in themselves nor do they allow others to. I see you as part of that party. Your emotional outer man will react to this...of course.
God is good and the devil is bad. You must believe on Jesus...it's very important you know! Did you know you have to believe on Jesus? It's of utmost necessity. There is a dire need to believe on Jesus. Did you know that? Do you realize that God is good and the devil is bad?
We can play this game...at your level.

The kingdom of heaven is right NOW...not when you die. Seek first the kingdom.

We are to go to the Father NOW. Not after you die. First comes life and then judgment.
Jesus did not come to call the righteous to repentance. Read the bible.... stop playing the religious game. Jesus is NOT in agreement. Stop the Phariseeism.

Are we to follow Christ after we die? Are we to seek the kingdom of God after we die? I think most people have not thought this through...instead going with the modern flow....following other sheep rather than Christ Himself. How many think Christianity is about an after-life? A Valhalla? Because of this there is never any PROOF of salvation...just beliefs...like the Vikings with their religious certainty. It's just a more modern version of religious certainty, so often.
Who are the pagans now?
The PROOF of salvation is to walk in a higher place where there is love, peace, joy and holiness. The kingdom realm of the Spirit. This is called "the justification of life". We are justified through experiencing the higher walk. Any other sense of justification is SELF-justification...believing we are righteous for either what we do or what we believe to be true.
The bible can't justify anyone. Only God can do that. Only He PERSONALLY can translate a person to be where He is to empower a person to walk as Jesus walked..without sin. Anything else is carnal. Anything else is wood, hay and stubble.

It's not about forgiveness. That is a shallow and misguided delusion...the Great Delusion.
The cross is about death...the death of the outer man of sin...and freedom...FREEDOM from sin. In Him is no sin.
The cross is about ATONEMENT...cleansing from all sin...to be as holy as God is holy.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Rev. 1:5
Grace doesn't make God blind to our true condition...no, grace empowers us to walk as Jesus walked...without any stain of sin.

The Cross of CHRIST IS God's Forgiveness for the sin of the World.... John 3:16.... as it by the BLOOD OF JESUS and only the Blood of Jesus, that God will forgive your sin.
Its by the shedding of Jesus's Blood that He became the ATONEMENT, the new Covenant, the Redeemer.
The DEVIL HIMSELF would be the first one, to deny that the BLOOD OF JESUS< that is the BLOOD ATONEMENT< that forgives sin.. Yet the very CROSS OF CHRIST>. is... "without the shedding of BLOOD, there is no Forgiveness"........

You didn't answer my question about what Jesus said about needing to be born again to enter the kingdom, and what His statement does to your doctrine of those who are not born again entering the kingdom by their own righteousness. And you didn't bring any evidence that we here are disputing with needing to deny/die to self. I don't know what you call it, but I would call your method "slipperiness".
Yes I know we go to the Father now and enter the kingdom now....that is what it means to be reconciled to Him.....through Christ and not by any other way.

This is quite an interesting read.
The cross is where Jesus took mankind’s sin upon himself did he not?
The cross is about death indeed, the death of Jesus otherwise if he hadn’t died there would be no cleansing us from sin?
It’s because of His death that our sins can be forgiven.
The cross doesn’t forgive our sins, only Gods Living witness the Holy Spirit can forgive our sins , when God decides to bring our spirit Alive in Christ...makes us supernaturally “ Born Of The Spirit “.
It’s because of Jesus blood that our sins can be forgiven...the blood in itself doesn’t forgive our sins, only the Spirit can do that.....without Jesus death and resurrection their would be no Born Of The Spirit. we would be completely and utterly alienated from God forever.

Why does it have to be one or the other.......it's about all those things. Are you compartmentalizing again?
Why can't salvation be both for the inner man AND the outer man? Making the narrow way the broadway again?
