All you need to do is compare America during President Trump's administration, to under Biden's regime. And there's no need to make this something it's not, like, I think President Trump is some kind of messiah or something.
Just step back, take a look around, and see which one improved the USA, and which one is destroying the USA.
No matter who did what…..God is allowing it all to happen to prove that humans are really hopeless at ruling themselves…..he has allowed them to try every conceivable form of government under the influence of the god they chose to obey…..and they have all failed miserably…why? Because even when they claim to be the ‘good guys’, their “goodness” is limited to a great degree by the people themselves, especially in a democracy…….these rulerships might sound good on paper but in operation, the human flaws of our sinful nature manifest themselves…..and as we know, “power corrupts”……and humanity being so easily manipulated and whipped up over political and religious issues…..what lasting good can ever result? (Prov 29:2)
All humans die and if by chance a good ruler was in power for a while….the Psalmist offered this counsel….
Paslm 146: 3-5….
“
3 Do not put your trust in princes
Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.
4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground;
On that very day his thoughts perish.
5 Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob as his helper,
Whose hope is in Jehovah his God”.
If we simply trust that God knows what he is doing, we never need to concern ourselves with this world’s political affairs. No nation on earth has a perfect government….which is why Jesus taught us to pray for the perfect one to “come” and to make sure that God’s will is done “on earth as it is in heaven”. God’s Kingdom will “come”….ready or not, and it will accomplish what no humans could ever do by themselves. (Daniel 2:44; Rev 21:2-4)
Do you ever wonder why power corrupts human rulers? Even some who were anointed kings of Israel turned feral and became corrupt. God told Israel that having a human king would not benefit them, but they insisted so he granted their request…only to experience the woes that flawed human rulership brought with them.
If they are blind guides, then why expect them not to keep falling into the same pit, time after time?
What is the definition of insanity? Isn’t it doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result? History keeps right on repeating because we never learn from the lessons of the past.
Democracy is all but dead…(another one bites the dust) and the next form of government the Bible tells us, is totalitarianism…..which will be introduced under the guise of freedom. Nothing can stop this…..so will we “let go and let God”? Or will we involve ourselves in the futile things that Jesus told us not to? We can be law abiding citizens of our nation and be politically neutral, because we have our citizenship in God’s kingdom….and trust that God has everything in hand according to his will and purpose…..we are thus, never a threat to anyone or any nation.
