82% of the suspected perpetrators of child sexual abuse in a study sample were at the time of the offense or had been at some time involved in a heterosexual relationship with a close relative of the child they victimized. In their study sample, researchers found that a child’s risk of being molested by his or her relative’s heterosexual partner was over 100 times greater than their being molested by someone who identifies as being homosexual, lesbian or bisexual (0.7% of the cases).1 According to a study conducted in Massachusetts, young lesbians and bisexual girls experienced more sexual harassment than heterosexual girls. 72% of lesbian and bisexual girls reported that they were “called sexually offensive names” by their peers, compared with 63% of heterosexual girls. Lesbians and bisexual girls were significantly more likely than heterosexual girls to be “touched, brushed up against, or cornered in a sexual way (63% as compared to 52% of heterosexual girls) and to be grabbed or have their clothing pulled in a sexual way (50% compared to 44%). 23% of young lesbian and bisexual girls reported that their peers had “attempted to hurt them in a sexual way (attempted rape or rape),” while 6% of the heterosexual girls surveyed had experienced sexual violence of this nature.”2 A recent study of 103 transgender women in Massachusetts found that approximately 60% of the respondents have been forced to have sex against their will and 38% had been subject to multiple incidents of sexual assault.3 According to the First National Survey of Transgender Violence, 13.7% of 402 persons reported being a victim of rape or attempted rape. 4 In a study of 162 gay men and 111 lesbians, 52% reported at least one incident of sexual coercion by same-sex partners. Gay men experienced 1.6 incidents per
person; while lesbians experienced 1.2 incidents per person.5 According to a study of homeless and marginally housed people, 32% of women, 27% of men, and 38% of transgendered persons reported either physical or sexual victimization in the previous year. Sexual assault was reported by 9.4% of women,

I don't know that.God does not make anyone gay.
May I have a verse that says God creates challenges for Christians to see if they will truly love Him and follow Him?I don't know that.
God creates challenges for people to see if they will truly love him and follow him.
So what if a person only has this challenge they have to overcome?
They are not theives, or murderers, or liers, or hateful...
They have no faults to repent from except this particular one that we find so grevious.
I'm not gay. I wasn't created gay. That doesn't mean God doesn't have a purpose for gay people.
Why did God harden Pharoahs heart?
Why did God lead the children in the wilderness for forty years?
They were being proved.
If you are a christian then you have come through the proving process. You believed, you repented and now you follow Christ.
The rest of the world is still being proven.
Their challenge is not our challenge.
They will have to make a decision of their own at some point... or not.
If God calls them and they make a conscious decision to know him, then they will have to make that decision for themselves.
You can't change them and neither can I. But with God All things are possible.
Hugs
I am speaking of the so-called gay gene, I agree sin world influnce towards temptation.,All irrelevant to the question of what God says in Scripture about homosexuality.
Irrelevant as to God's Word, which condemns and prohibits the behavior.I am speaking of the so-called gay gene, I agree sin world influnce towards temptation.,
If you are 18 and think you are a different gender. You have a mental illness. If you are 8 and think you are a different gender. Your mother has a mental illness. From the Christian Post -

America facing ‘mental health disaster,’ American Association of Christian Counselors head says
America is in the throes of a mental health disaster that requires a holistic solution grounded in a biblical worldview and starting in the family, according to Tim Clinton, president of the Americanwww.christianpost.com
This article is about the American Association of Christian Counselors(AACC), and for a Christian family dealing with homosexuality in their midst, I'd strongly suggest steering clear of this outfit.
From two articles about the AACC approach to this subject -
From Wikipedia:
"In 2014 AACC amended its code of ethics to eliminate the promotion of conversion therapy for same-sex attracted individuals, encouraging those individuals to practice a celibate sexual life instead."
From the Tyler Clementi Foundation, about the AACC statement on homosexuality:
"'The 2014 Code of Ethics also states: “Counselors may agree to and support the desire to work through issues of homosexual and transgendered identity and attractions, but will not describe or reduce human identity and nature to sexual orientation or reference, and will encourage sexual celibacy or biblically-prescribed sexual behavior while such issues are being addressed.'
Childers said his organization must question what a Christian counselor might consider 'biblically- prescribed sexual behavior' for the young gay or lesbian individual. “Is the young person going to be told that developing an intimate relationship with a person [of the same sex] is considered sinful behavior?"
From the Merriam-Webster on "sodomite":
"often offensive: someone who practices sodomy --> used as a term of abuse and disparagement for a gay person"
The homosexual male is not necessarily a sodomite. The two words are not synonymous. The idea of homosexuality being the translation of arsenokoites in 1 Cor. 6:9 and 1 Tim. 1:10 never came about until the mid-20th century. Previously, in our traditional English translations, the word was considered "sodomite" as a male who "sodomizes" another male, as seen in the Tyndale, Bishops, Geneva, KJV, 1885 RV, 1898 Young's Literal Translation and the 1901 ASV. (Using 1828 Webster's definitions for the dynamic translations)
To insist that the realistic and biblical answer to the gay male is "celibacy" is false and harmful to the Christian who is gay. The apostle Paul teaches that celibacy is a gift of God that not all men have, 1 Cor. 7:7-9. *The words of Jesus also refute that idea in two places:
"For some are incapable of marriage from birth, some are made incapable by the action of men, and some have made themselves so for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven. Let the man who can accept what I have said accept it." (Matt. 19:12 Philips) *Yes, it is literally "eunuchs", but if one can be physically a eunuch from birth, is there evidence that one cannot also be a eunuch mentally from birth?
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matt 5:27-28 RSV)
*To be gay is to desire gay sex, so if gay sex is sin, the gay is a sinner merely by being gay. The solution of "celibacy" for the gay is unbiblical as well as unrealistic.
A sodomite truly is one who commits the 'sin of Sodom', which was an attempt to "sodomize" the two male/angel visitors to Lot.
The American Heritage Dictionary of English: "sodomize, To subject to an act of sodomy, especially forcibly."
I post this from the perspective of one who has had to deal with this question within the Christian family, so I have spent time in study of this situation biblically as well as psychologically. This topic must NOT be dealt with emotionally, but from objective facts from Scripture.
To insist that the realistic and biblical answer to the gay male is "celibacy" is false and harmful to the Christian who is gay.
Can you not read plain English? I wrote absolutely NOTHING about gender dysphoria. I addressed the matter of the OP, homosexuality. If you are 18 and think you are a different gender. You have a mental illness. If you are 8 and think you are a different gender. Your mother has a mental illness.
I challenged the erroneous teaching that the Bible condemns any and all forms of gay love with sexual intimacy. What is mentally unhealthy, is to subject one's loved one to the guilt and mental anguish brought about by faulty psychology as well as distorted biblical interpretation. No one has ever demonstrated from a close and in depth examination of scripture, where God condemns two males in a loving and sexually intimate relationship. The Bible even records such a loving relationship, from just one verse of this loving relationship:You are teaching that its 'mentally" healthy for the Homosexual to continue to have homosexual sex.
I did not read what you wrote. The system put your post in front of me and I added my thoughts. Can you not read plain English? I wrote absolutely NOTHING about gender dysphoria. I addressed the matter of the OP, homosexuality.
Peter, it seems I misunderstood you, so I apologize. Apparently you were referring to what was stated in the article, rather than what I personally wrote. Again, I ask forgiveness for my 'sarcasm' about your ability to read.I did not read what you wrote. The system put your post in front of me and I added my thoughts.
No need for apologizes. And you are right that's what I did and allowed a good guy like you to be the first to read my thoughts on the OP.Peter, it seems I misunderstood you, so I apologize. "I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were most dear to me; your love for me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women." (2Sam 1:26 REB)
"I grieve for thee, my brother Jonathan: exceeding beautiful, and amiable to me above the love of women. As the mother loveth her only son, so did I love thee." (2Sam 1:26 Douay translation of the Latin Vulgate)
The Holy Spirit inspired words "love of women" has been such an embarrassment to religious tradition, that the Latin began distorting the verse by adding a completely spurious sentence, which I underlined. The verse does not say "love of wife/wives" or "love of mother"... it says "love of women" plural and it is clear as to meaning. If not, why did the Latin and the English based on the Latin, add a fake verse of another type of love?
