OH COME ON...for crying out loud. Your play on words is pathetic. The bible clearly states that the Holy Spirit "Spirit" mind you, is a Gift, and that means GIFTS (plural), to you and me. We also know that angels communicate in the Spirit because they are spiritual beings, and we know that speaking in the Spirit is not speaking in the ENGLISH LANGUAGE! I speak in tongues, and you probably don't. The reason for that is because I don't limit God to my puny thinking that God is limited in His capacity. My ability to speak in tongues is what made cancer remove itself from a family members body. We were in the Surgeons office while he looked at the exray before going in for the operation. I saw that dark mass on her breast and it looked like a figure. Immidiately I said "Satan, I see you" and rebuked him and commanded his removal, and I began speaking in my spiritual language outloud in front of the Doctor, God, His Holy angels and anyone who cared to listen.
The Doctor said he saw all he needed to see, turned off the machine and had her taken to the I.R. After going in, they couldn't find the cancer. You read it correctly, THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CANCER.
DON'T TELL ME ITS NOT A GIFT BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO BLIND TO SEE THAT SPRITUAL IS SPIRITUAL. IT'S IN THE DNA OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND TONGUES IS IN THERE. It's been in there since the Penticost and the early church.

People who DON'T speak in tongues informing those who DO speak in tongues about how it should be done. (pfft)
What would they know? (nothing)

Churches where everyong speaks at the same time are not of God. Those who do in an orderly fashion are. Also, I test all to see if genuine.

Hebrew reads like "his name shall be called: the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, The Father of Eternity, the Prince of Peace." These are Charistics of the Messiah.
Many translations have "eternal father" and we know that Jesus is not God the Father. Isiah 9:6 has dual fulfillment. The other being around Isaiah 10 or 11.

We need to define "speaks". This is not a prohibition for speaking in tongues. (Personal prayer language - #1 below)
It is addressing only ONE use of tongues. (#3 below)
There are more than one kind of tongues. Not just the Gift of Tongues. (#3 below)
Five Different Uses of Tongues
1) Personal prayer language (worship/edification)
2) Intercessory prayer language (praying for others in the Spirit)
3) A prophetic message for a congregation (the Gift of tongues)
4) Singing in the Spirit (worship/edification)
5) Evangelistic language (like at Pentecost, the hearers understand it)
There may be more.
We can't limit the Holy Spirit.

Your list is doubling up. There are two manifestations of tongues. Mark 16:16-18 is your 1), 2), 4), and 5). Number 3) is from 1 Corinthians 12:8-10.
The difference is only in the direction. Mark 16 has no "interpretation" listed. None is necessary because the tongue is speaking TO God.
But 1 Corinthians 12 gift of diverse kinds of tongues can only be spoken is the person with the office of interpreter is present to give the interpretation. These are FROM God. And what He is saying to us is found in verse 6 of 1 Cor. 14. Not everyone has this gift, nor the gift of interpretation of tongues as 1 Cor. 12:30 says. But Mark 16 is for all who believe, and I would add is born again of the Spirit.

I was addressing the claim by non-tongues-speakers that want believers who are
speaking their personal prayer language to God in church to be silent instead.

For it is written, 'Be still and know that I Am Lord.'
Now, there's no problem, merely the Son also hold both title, 'Mighty' and 'Almighty'.
'Mighty', for He Himself is God of and over all creation, whether in Heaven or on earth. For He laid the foundation of the earth and the Heavens are the works of His hands. He is Everlasting Father because he conquered sin and death, and won for us Everlasting Life.
'Almighty', for He is apparently the express Image and Word, of GOD the FATHER in person. For example, if you've been with Jesus for 3 years whom you've probably seen, heard, worked and been with everyday. Therefore the same, you've seen, heard, worked and been with the very FATHER HIMSELF in person.
Since, GOD the FATHER is Eternal, thus who art in Heaven and in secret. The Son alone remain subjected to the FATHER, while all creation are under the Son, and through whom only excess to the FATHER.

Praying in the Spirit or praying softly in understood language at your seat in church is different from standing up and giving a message in tongues heard by all that an interpretation is required and expected.
