No, according to Paul... our doctrine comes from Jesus Christ.
Actually Paul said that His Gospel, and the doctrine that he taught, came from Christ.
He learned it from "no man", "but from the Revelation, of Jesus Himself".
So, from PAUL, we learn, doctrine for the church., as it came from Jesus, to Paul., who was a "chosen vessel" to be that very teacher.
Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it
Jesus taught the Gospel of the Kingdom
First of all, notice that Jesus said that... people are pressing into .....
Yet, no one can enter into God's Salvation, that is to be "translated from Darkness to Light"... until AFTER Jesus has died on the Cross.
Take note that in Luke 16, Jesus has not died yet on the Cross, and the Holy Spirit is not given yet at Pentecost, as its there that 3000 Jews, became the "temple of the Holy Spirit". = entering into the Kingdom of God.
Now, it can be that some of the Jews brought students, and those could be a Greek.
Be careful to notice that Jesus was not Crucified until Luke 23, and Paul didnt arrive until about Acts 9, that is about a decade after Jesus went back to Heaven.
So, Paul's Gospel, was not even around, in Luke 16,.... and Paul's Gospel is the doctrine for the body of Christ that is "the Preaching of the Cross., that brought the BELIEVER = into SALVATiON.
See, you can't tell people about Jesus as sin bearer, in Luke 16, as He has not died for their sins, yet,
On The Cross.
Your verse says that the Kingdom of God is preached, and you changed that into the "Gospel of the Kingdom", because that is what you've been misled to believe, ither by a cult, a really bad teacher, or by some commentaries.
Perhaps all 3.
Paul is given and then teaches and preaches "the Gospel of the Grace of God" (Long after Luke 16)...., and that Gospel, allows the hearer to trust in Christ, and enter the Kingdom of God,... as proven by the born again believer, becoming the "temple of the Holy Spirit".
So, noone was Born again, in Luke 16, and noone had become the "temple of the Holy Spirit", in Luke 16.
The Gospel of the Kingdom, is what you find being preached in The Trib.
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Yes, that is discipleship. Not Salvation.
Salvation is not based on keeping commands, or statues, or law........its based on the CROSS OF CHRIST, being preached as "The Gospel of The Grace of God".
