Sounds like secular dogma. Chapter and verse please. Thanks. You should know God NEVER forces.
Perhaps you need to learn to recognize his voice.
Jesus says his sheep hear his voice and follow.
You are probably ignoring him.
I can’t .....God spoke to our spirit when the Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.Define audible.

Show me where God says I will force my will onto you?..thanks?Sounds like secular dogma. Chapter and verse please. Thanks.

I think there is a phobia about admitting that we are hearing voices.I do not hear an audible voice either. He speaks to me through scripture. Not all Christians will hear Him the same way.
Back to Saul of Tarsus. (the Apostle Paul)Now you explain how God spoke to you in an audible voice?....scripture please?
Here you go again....secular talk, flesh talk. That saw cuts both ways.
You have the idea that if it hasn't happened to you, it CAN'T happen to anyone else.
While you REFUSE to grow in the Spirit. What are you afraid of?
Can't you trust God like you did 30 years ago?
You had your experiences and then put your spiritual vehicle up on blocks and locked the garage.
"Nope, ain't doin' that no mo'. I'm done!"

A Born Again are under the New Covenant.....we must be Born Again..to see the Kingdom of God.Back to Saul of Tarsus. (the Apostle Paul)
Acts 9:10-16 NIV
In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias.
The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!”
“Yes, Lord,” he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street
and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come
and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man
and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.
14 And he has come here with authority from the
chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to
proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

An audible voice as I posted ..is hearing God with natural ears.
He knocked Saul of Tarsus to the ground.God doesn’t force you to hear his voice....
Do you have ears? That’s what it said....where in scripture does it say we must hear God with natural ears?
We are under the New Testament....A Born Again that is.He knocked Saul of Tarsus to the ground.
Oh sorry, more of my "secular opinion".

Show me where it says in scripture..we hear with natural ears?Do you have ears?
Matthew 11:15 NIV
Whoever has ears, let them hear.

Sigh.We are under the New Testament.
Not the Old Testament...do you understand?
A Born Again is under the New Covenant.Sigh.
I give up.
I have gone above and beyond to try to help you.
What have you given me in this discussion, except grief? (nothing)
If I believed you, God would stop speaking to me.
Is that what you want?
If I believed you, God would stop healing the sick through me.
Is that what you want?
If I believed you, God would stop revealing himself to me in visions.
Is that what you want?
If I believed you, God would stop sending me on divine appointments.
Is that what you want?
Sigh.
Are you guilty of Bibliolatry?
Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author
I have encountered some that I thought had fallen into this trap. I asked them, "What would become of your faith if you put your whole library out on the curb on trash day?" The guilty are left mostly speechless. Or, alternatively VERY angry. How come? To be clear, I love the Bible and use...www.christianityboard.com

I think there is a phobia about admitting that we are hearing voices.
Most will deny it, even though there is a dialog running in our minds all the time.
That is what I am calling an audible voice. No one else can hear it except me.
Do you find that you are talking to yourself at times?
Who is holding up the other half of the discussion?
Does God bring scriptures to mind? That is God speaking. His voice in your mind.
Do temptations come to your mind? That's the enemy speaking.
When humankind ate the forbidden fruit, we opened our mind to all this.

I agree for the most part. What do you make of this?We all have an inner dialog. That's neither God or the devil. That's our own mind working things out.
Example, I'm at a new job. I actually am. I have the thought that I cannot do this when something is hard or I make a mistake. That is my negative side of myself that I have. My next thought because I know I can do this job, is yes I can do it. It's not hard, just new.
That is all me. It's my inner dialog.
As I said, not all Christians will hear an audible voice, even as inner dialogue. I am not afraid to say that I am hearing voices. I'm not hearing voices, beyond my inner dialogue which is all me.
Why are some Christians so adamant that you must do Christianity the way they do it? Why don't they realize that God can use anyway He wants to reach us and isn't confined to the one way He reaches them?
I agree for the most part. What do you make of this?
Are not all our thoughts obedient to Christ?
2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
