Genesis 9:21

And drinking of the wine was made drunk, and was uncovered in his tent.

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Give your evidence it was alcoholic wine and not grape juice!
Already did kiddo....Post #444.

Since you have ZERO evidence to back up what your Protestant men have taught....you should probably stop listening to them.

You should look up the word facetious

catholicism is just another satanic cult like mormons, jehovah's witnesses, new age, satanic temple, reformed theology, calvinism, etc, etc.

God's Word does not teach catholicism, so you should REPENT and follow God's Word instead,.
Stay focused BB Johnson. Look at the words that were written. Can you give me a answer to the questions? Or are you just going to keep rambling about non-sensical stuff?

Here are the questions you DIDN'T answer dodgeball: Racists? Huh??????? Is that really the word you meant to use?

Which protestant theology should we bow down to? Baptist? Lutheran? SDA's? Methodist? etc. The one YOU prescribe to?

The best stuff was made fresh and had not had time to start rotting and start fermenting.

And, back then they mixed the fermented stuff with water and it was nothing like the alcohol content in modern day wine... they did this because the water was not that safe to drink.

Bottom line was nobody was getting drunk like they are today claiming it's OK because they drank "wine" in the bible.

Wine simplyt means fruit of the vine unless in the context it is saying it was strong drink.
Hey BB Johnson,

Doesn't 1 Corinthians 11:20-21 strongly suggest that they were drinking wine while participating in the Lords Supper?

Hey BBJ,

I know your Christian history, the men you read, listen to and adore, starts when the Protestant Revolution began; about 500 years ago. But have you ever read the writings of Ignatius of Antioch? He was, according to Christian history, a student of the Apostle John. Do you think that he was part of a "satanic cult"?

And a person who drinks a glass of wine is no more a "drunkard" than a person eating a hamburger is a "glutton".

Study your Bible - JESUS drank alcohol . . .
Matt. 11:19

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

Your evidence failed... did your bible come with a wine sample?

Of course if you belong to the catholic cult and got your bible from the catholic cult "church" it probably did, along with giving the priest a rub down View attachment 37168

And yet you cannot PROVE that.... just because He went to the down trodden to preach the Gospel to them does not mean He drank their booze, smoked their weed, had sex with them, or any other filth

If Jesus had any issue with drinking wine at all, and/or saw drinking wine at all as "sinful", he wouldn't have changed the water into wine for the wedding at Cana.

And you cannot prove if it was alcoholic wine or not.

All you got is the speculations of one that argues in favor of getting drunk

So, you believe that having A glass of wine...while eating... over the course of an hour...automatically means "getting drunk"?

Even in Timothy it says, "Stop drinking only water, and have a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses." (1Tim 5:23)

The one thing Jesus is NOT is a liar - even if YOU are.

Jesus Himself stated that He ate and drank. If He didn't drink alcohol - why did He accuse the Pharisees of calling Him a "drunkard" by virtue of what He drank?

Take your time . . .

Ummmm, I hate to be the one to break this to you - nut the process for STOPPING the natural fermentation process in grape juice was invented by the Welch's Juice Company in 1920.
That's almost 2000 years AFTEER the Wedding at Cana.

The fermentation process begins when the skin of the grape is broken. You cannot store gallons of grape juice in clay jars for dats at a time - especially in a desert community like Cana.

Jesus MADE alcohol.
Jesus DRANK alcohol.

  • 1805: America’s first temperance sermon, “The Fatal Effects of Ardent Spirits” is delivered by Rev. Ebenezer Porter in Washington, CT.
  • 1826: Revivalist pastor Lyman Beecher publishes Six Sermons on the Nature, Occasion, Signs, Evils, and Remedy of Intemperance, condemning liquor for “the moral ruin it works in the soul.”
  • 1840: The Washingtonian Movement, one of America’s first anti-alcohol organizations, is formed.
  • 1869: Methodist pastor Thomas Welch invents a method of pasteurizing grape juice so that it isn’t fermented. He persuades local churches to adopt this non-alcoholic “wine” for communion services, calling it “Dr. Welch’s Unfermented Wine.”
  • 1873–74: “Mother” Eliza Thompson—a devout Methodist—leads “crusade” of women protesting American drinking establishments.
What does Big Boy think of the Methodist church?

Back then they were doing some good work... unlike today.

The devil loves to get folks hook on the booze for obvious reasons.

Hey BB Johnson,

Is it possible that once....JUST ONCE....you could answer a question?????????? I already know that you read the writings of the men from the reformation because your teachings mirror their teachings!! You have accepted their interpretation of Scripture. Here is the question again:

have you ever read the writings of Ignatius of Antioch?

Patient Mary
