There were many persecutions in the early church, but to say that Rome was not one of them is a lie. You need to buy a copy of "Fox's Book of Martyrs". I have had a copy for years, but I am not able to read it. It is a book of horrors. They need to tear down that arena in Rome where Christians were fed to the lions, even children. And then they would cover Christians with oil and set them on fire. The list of atrocities committed against Christians in Rome is endless.

Pagan Rome - desiring a reputation as "cultured" and "civilized" among the ancients - strove to be as non-violent as possible. Violence against Christians was for the most part done reluctantly, and mostly due to political expediency, until the era of Constantine.

However, Foxe's Book of Martyrs, written by a former catholic, details the horrific persecutions of papal Rome against Christ's followers, such as St. Bartholomew's Massacre where papal Rome's true nature was revealed. It began with a deceptive broadcast of a "new age of tolerance" by the papacy for the Huguenots and other "heretical" sects which refused to bow to the pope. The Pope didn't create "Chrislam." Chrislam first appeared in a 1914 book called The Flying Inn written by G.K. Chesterton, as a fictional religious movement.

But the whole idea of Chrislam being an actual 'religion' began in Nigeria in the 1970's as a response to the tensions between Muslims and
Christians in the area at that time. Notice I said "Christians" and not "Catholics." In a nutshell, what Chrislam attempts to do is to recognize that Islam and Christianity have an 'overlap' in each of their faiths...and to unite those overlaps as ONE belief.

Fox's "Book of Martyrs" puts a lot of text in quotes without offering any source of those quotes. I'd be wary of that book as a 'source' of information.

And while Luther may have had grievances against the RCC, he also wanted to push his own agenda. He wanted to change Romans 3:23-25 to say, "...by faith ALONE" instead of leaving it as "...by FAITH" as in the original manuscripts.

Luther succeeded in removing seven books from the OT because they didn't 'fit' with HIS idea of Christianity. He also wanted some NT books removed because they didn't fit with HIS idea of faith ALONE.

A more interesting issue is why some people and institutions are the constant targets of dirt digging while others get a pass. The latest example is an article published in the September 11 edition of The Week magazine.

Devika Rao’s article, “The Catholic Church’s Latest Scandals in the US,” is inaccurate: the latest scandals are mostly old. Of the six stories dealing with sexual abuse, two go back to World War II, one is from a half-century ago, and the others are random acts of a few people. The author, whose specialty is the environment and climate control, never explains why she decided to do this piece, nor does she draw any conclusions. She is content to simply recycle old stories.

Rao obviously has no interest in looking for fresh dirt in the public schools. If she had, she would report that from 2017 to 2018, there were approximately 15,000 incidents of reported rape or attempted rape in the public schools. For the same time period, there were over 14,000 reports of sexual assault other than rape.

Moreover, consider the number of complaints filed by the Defense of Freedom Institute (DFI), between 2010 and 2019, alleging instances of sexual violence against K-12 schools: they more than tripled. DFI, as reported in City Journal, found that when public school employees are investigated for sexual abuse, “many school districts are under no legal obligation to notify parents or even note the investigation in the employee’s personnel file.” Also, under collective bargaining agreements, they “often allow for scrubbing of personnel files.”

As I recount in The Truth about Clergy Sexual Abuse: Clarifying the Facts and the Causes, sexual misconduct exists in every institution, secular and religious. Yet the media do not report on this with any degree of regularity, save for the Catholic Church.

Here’s some data about the Catholic clergy that Ms. Rao missed. Between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, there were 16 allegations made by minors during that time, seven of which were substantiated. That means that of the 52,387 members of the clergy, .013 percent of them had a substantiated allegation made against him. In the first half of 2022, the number of allegation—not allegations that have been substantiated—was zero.

If Rao knows of any institution which has a better record than this, she ought to write about it. It would be breaking news.

The reason the media do not report on this, preferring to rehash old dirt, is precisely to poison the public mind. They want to give the appearance that nothing has changed. What certainly hasn’t changed is the anti-Catholic bias that permeates a large swath of the media.

The problem I have with the 1948 "restoration of Israel" is that we can't find a single precedent in Scripture where God gathered Israel back to the land after scattering them for disobedience without them first repenting of their errors. Daniel 9 plainly says the Jerusalem would be "desolate" because the people would reject their Messiah and still do to this day. It can be shown - by tedious examination of historic documents which expose clandestine religio/political ties - that the U.S., secret societies, and papal intrigue is what was behind that "restoration", not to mention the whole "Khazarian Empire" body of evidence.

That's why "Israel" in prophecy refers to church, which is what Galatians 6:15-16 KJV specifically refers to as the "the Israel of God" - those who "walk by this rule" of the "new creature in Christ Jesus" (Paul would not pronounce both "peace" and "wrath to the uttermost" on the same group of individuals, which means "wrath" would be upon those who called for Christ's crucifixion, while "peace" is to be upon the Christian "Israel of God" to this day).

The Two Witnesses are killed and resurrected in "the great city" during the time of the end of the 1,260 Days which ended in 1798 A.D.

There was no "city of Jerusalem" at that time and the Two Witnesses are not literal men - they're symbols which are to be interpreted in Zechariah 4:1-6 KJV using the clues "olive trees" and "candlesticks".

The problem I have with the 1948 "restoration of Israel" is that we can't find a single precedent in Scripture where God gathered Israel back to the land after scattering them for disobedience without them first repenting of their errors. Daniel 9 plainly says the Jerusalem would be "desolate" because the people would reject their Messiah and still do to this day. It can be shown - by tedious examination of historic documents which expose clandestine religio/political ties - that the U.S., secret societies, and papal intrigue is what was behind that "restoration", not to mention the whole "Khazarian Empire" body of evidence.

That's why "Israel" in prophecy refers to church, which is what Galatians 6:15-16 KJV specifically refers to as the "the Israel of God" - those who "walk by this rule" of the "new creature in Christ Jesus" (Paul would not pronounce both "peace" and "wrath to the uttermost" on the same group of individuals, which means "wrath" would be upon those who called for Christ's crucifixion, while "peace" is to be upon the Christian "Israel of God" to this day).
