I find it sad that there are many people who decieve themselves into believing they no longer sin.
In order to do this they have to take the word of God out of context.
Ijohn says if we say we have no sin we decieve ourselves and the truth is not in you.
The difference between the lost and a born again believer,is the Prodigal Son. The unbelieve loves sin and wallows in it. A child of God says i will arise and go to my Father and confess his sins.

Yes sir very true, all sin even the born again. It seems that those who are born again have a higher standard to maintain however, as if they ever fall away from the faith, they have no redemption Heb 6:4-6. If I was one of those chosen, I would not be redeemed as I fell away from the faith for 10 yrs.

Roman 6 is speaking of the Jews going back to burnt offerings instead of faith in Christ. Not a believer who sins.

It was a clear statement inspired by God, but I hope you are correct sir, perhaps they will be forgiven by God. Although the account said impossible, we do know that all things are possible for God, except lying of course, which makes me think He meant it when He inspired it. There is always the possibility that the translators mistranslated it though.

I think sinlessness is achievable. We just have to obey a few commandments. The problem is that they are not, in my opinion, easy to obey .

There is no mention of burnt offerings in Romans 6. It is about a believer who sins.

The key verses are "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies, so that you obey their desires. No longer present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace."

You're sad if someone on earth is not sinning? Or just not sinning like you? Are you sad for them or yourself?

.

Aren't you contradicting yourself here? You first preach that all born against believers are still sinners sinning against God, and you're sad if any Christian believers say they're not. But now you agree with the Christian saints that preach being born again and arising from sinning and wallowing in the mire through confession unto God.

Ought you not be glad for them, as well as yourself, for being delivered from our old sinning in the mire?

Isn't it fascinating that some people love to find a Thread that talks about sinning, and join it and almost brag about theirs?

So, Ive an update for you, if you are that one.

God created Salvation, to free you from sin, not to cause you to think you should be doing it more, and write Threads about it.

God didn't spiritually birth saved sinners.
He spiritually birthed "made righteous" Son/Daughters of God.

99% of the time, the reason you are involved in a lot of carnality, .. .is not because the Devil has you picked out,..... nor is it because The Cross of Christ has not solves=d your sin problem.......2000 yrs ago.
No .....the reason you are living in carnality a lot, is because somebody taught you to believe you are supposed to be sinning and confessing, and now you believed that for years and so you are confessing sin for years.
You are stuck in ... "sin, confess......repeat". "doctrines of devils" theology.

Hebrews 13:9

You're not supposed to be doing that..... but because that is your FAITH, then your faith is being answered, as your lifestyle.

See, if you are born again, you are "made free from sin", and if you "walk in the Spirit, you'll not fulfill the lusts of your flesh"

Here is food for thought.

God does not Join Himself to sin, so, He can't be joined to a sinner.
God Saves sinners, but does not join them spiritually, because they are now and forever = become a "new Creation" "In Christ".
He joins those, = "born again".

So, God had to deal with all your sin, through the Cross of Christ, and DID.. if you are born again, and not just water baptized and religious.
This is why "Born again" happens, = all sin for all time is resolved...

2nd Corinthians 5:19

John 3:17

God does not Join Himself to a future sinner. And that will never happen.
God has to wash your sin, and YOU< in the Blood of Jesus, so that this is always your REDEMPTION.....

So, the problem with people who are saved and sin, is not sin...its a lack of understanding regarding the finished work of Jesus on the Cross.
You, They, have not yet understood what it means to have become "made righteous" by "The Gift of Righteousness", or you're not really born again yet, and you are very religious thinking that you are a Christian.

In order to do this they have to take the word of God out of context. Ijohn says if we say we have no sin we decieve ourselves and the truth is not in you.
The out of context here is being cut off from the first half of 1 John 1. Is John really first declaring how he and other saints are indeed walking and having fellowship with Jesus in the light, and not in darkness at all, only to then turn around and declare they are still sinners having sin? I trow not.

Since sinners sinning is walking in darkness, how can they also be walking in the light, where there is no darkness? Jesus Christ certainly never does.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

God is not fellowshipping with anyone doing unrighteousness and communing with the devil. The reconciliation of God and man through Jesus Christ, does not mean the Father has reconciled Himself to fellowshipping with sinners while still sinning.

The whole point of Bible doctrine, especially in the NT, is debunk such foolish thinking, no matter how much someone may want to believe it.

The God of Israel did not come in the flesh to die and rise again, just so His people can now loudly declare what sinners with sin they are,
but now without shame.
Ijohn says if we say we have no sin we decieve ourselves and the truth is not in you.

What God is saying here, is that those walking in darkness and not in the light with Him, deceive themselves by saying they also have no sin,

The doctrine of believer's sins are no more judged and condemned by God as before, teaches sinners to say they have no sin while walking in darkness. They have no sin condemned by God. Afterall, where no condemnation of God is, there is no sin.

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Christian sinners, who say they are no more condemned by God, even while sinning against Him, are in fact saying they have no sin.

The only ones not sinning and having no sin, are those walking in the light with God in Christ Jesus, in who is no sin.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

No sinner having sin, is in Christ. Teaching we can be in Christ while having sin in us, is teaching a Christ now having sin in him. Which of course is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible, in whom is no sin nor sinner having sin in Him.

The difference between the lost and a born again believer,is the Prodigal Son.
The Prodigal son only applies to sons of God, that forsake His law and depart from His presence, in order to wallow again in their old mire.

This 'backsliding' cannot apply to any unbeliever that has never frontslid.

The son of God becomes dead again in renewed sins and trespasses, and if he repents, then he is alive in Christ once again.

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

The unbelieve loves sin and wallows in it. A child of God says i will arise and go to my Father and confess his sins.
This is a Christian doctrine of only having a change of mind about the enjoyment of sin, but not a repented heart from sinning itself.

It's a doctrinal extension of believing to be saved and justified with God by faith alone, through hearing and only agreeing with the word, that all sinning is against God and nothing to be enjoyed with. The mind by hearing the word, now knows the law of God against all sinning, but the heart has yet to repent of doing it. It's the new conflict between mind and deeds in Romans 7.

Some teach that they are no more condemned while transgressing with the devil, because they don't enjoy it nor him anymore. Or I suppose at least not 'as much'.

Still a sinner too. It is unfortunate that people delude themselves in believing they make this flesh 100% perfect... It's just not possible... Only Jesus Christ, by the holy spirit, and the Word of God with-in that body held his flesh back from ever sinning. Not so with us. Praise God, and the Lord Yeshua for their help, but it is us who decide whether or not one goes in a situation by the flesh, or abiding in Christ and allowing the spirit of Christ to come forward.

My encouragement out there is be careful of those who put any type of bondage to make you 'obey their ways' and not obey Yahava... Love Yahava first and if you seek out his message through the bible you come to find out his son did already pay the price for sin. Now we choose to live our actions by sinning to the point of death even of the soul, or partaking of Jesus on the Cross, and his resurrection and abiding in Him.

The importance is the reality to be honest with God, and yourself... be careful of what you are eating and feeding yourself, and who you feed off of.

Yes perfection is what we are commanded to be. I have not reached it and consider myself a sinner in different ways. I think the parable of the tax collector and Pharisee applies here.

Actually, we ought to stop sinning if were in Christ.

You've taken 1 John 1:8 to mean we all sin all the time. Thats not what it means.

Two verses under that in 1 John 2:1, it says
2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 1:8 is still true. All have sin somewhere in their past. But not past, present, and future. In Christ our goal is still to stop sinning and become slaves of righteousness. Not only is Scripture not lightening up on sin but it insists that we die to it (Romans 6:1-13).

We've been trained to treat sinning like breathing. It isn't.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

Taken out of context is thinking 1John is speaking to the redeemed.

There is no need to preach repentance and the gospel to the saved.
1 John is addressed to those dead in sin. Contextually, it is telling those person's they are sinners. Even if they think otherwise

If we the redeemed are still condemned as those dead in sin, then we are living a lie to think we are reborn from that state unto a new creation.
