A true faith?Undermining the beliefs that undermine a true and living faith.
I’m not saying the wrath of God is = to a hardened and unrepentant heart. That is not what I meant at all, but wrath upon a hardened and unrepentant heart. Do you think I’m ignoring you reap what you sow? All I meant was I could see how and unrepentant and hard heart ‘stores up’ wrath. drawing and gathering wrath unto itself (hardness and unrepentant) upon which comes destruction. You are equating a belief in the wrath of God with hardness of heart. That is I think called a false equivalency. If we have God's heart we are willing that none should perish, we do not delight in the death of the wicked but would rather that they repent in order to receive that white stone and soft heart that God can write His laws on......just as He did for us.
I think one must remember context alsoI’m not saying the wrath of God is = to a hardened and unrepentant heart.
Colossians 3:6-7 For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience: [7] In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.
I was trying share that I can relate because I fully can see there is truth in that “you store up wrath” because of all the time my heart was truly hard and unrepentant. I can see what “hardness” and “unrepentant” “stored up” was wrath, and the fruit of that was death. That is why, to me, God is so gracious and long suffering, and patience, and merciful. Because I’ve walked in the flesh fulfilling the lust and desires of the flesh. For Him to provide of Himself another way, an escape as He said “I will put no more on you than you can bear, but with it will provide an escape” is more merciful than I ever was told of God while seated in a pew of a church building. Personally I was taught God will not put on you more than you can bear. But the way I was taught that was that while in the flesh God will not put too much for your flesh to bear. To me that is not the point, but when too much is on you to bear in the flesh… the escape is His Spirit is able to bear what flesh can not. So the lie to me, the twisting of, God will not put too much that the flesh fails…because I don’t see that is true but instead …it will fail.
Colossians 3:8-9 But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. [9] Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;
We never pause to consider if we lie to others. For example “oh I’m so sorry all this destruction has come upon you. Remember God won’t put no more on you than you can bear.”
In reply to our lie, “wow. God must think I can bear a lot then.”
“Yes. You are so strong. He knows this strength you possess.” Instead of, when you have been pressed to your limit, beyond your strength, having yes more than you can bear, He will provide. (sufficiency in God)
Again to me that is twisting what was said to fit a narrative. How Paul’s point is how he could come destroy and how he just wants to get that clear to them. So the narrative is we as a church just want the world to know right out the gate how much power God has given us to break and crush all and tear all of this down! Instead, the point was, to me, the power given of God … is not for destruction instead for edification. Plain and direct. See, but the narrative is I’ll take that power for destruction. I love stew. Which has its warning “you reap what you sow”, “those who take the sword will die by the sword” and “if you lead into captivity, unto captivity you go.”When the time is ripe and it becomes evident who is fulfilling obedience and who are disobedient, Paul is warning them that even though he may seem not to be bold when present, he is actually equipped and capable in the Lord of being very bold in unleashing rebuke/chastisement or other discipline if necessary. Not carnal, but spiritual, for their good, in hopes of correcting in the Lord, those who are being disobedient and getting them on the right track. Yes, for edification not destruction of those who belong to God. He chastises who He loves as sons. (Different story in the end to those who don't belong to God and aren't sons.)
God is merciful to the ungrateful also. Isn’t this His perfection? Or does He only salutes those who salute Him? Or does He only love those who love Him? Because unless I am wrong…that seems to be the constant narrative which I ask …what is to be gained by this narrative? Is it any different than the publication and tax collector?I think one must remember context also
When A child gets angry, The father will react different than when a none child gets angry.
A child is forgiven, but will be chastened.
A non child just stores up more wrath that if not forgiven by becoming a child. will be stored up for eternity
2. To be no longer responsible for sins...because they are all covered over already. Just look to the cross...
Yes he did . And the lambs wont heed the voice of a stranger . Lambs FOLLOW CHRIST .He already proved he is a universalist.. that anyone can be saved no matter what religion
this issue is not what we do. it is who we areGod is merciful to the ungrateful also. Isn’t this His perfection? Or does He only salutes those who salute Him? Or does He only love those who love Him? Because unless I am wrong…that seems to be the constant narrative which I ask …what is to be gained by this narrative? Is it any different than the publication and tax collector?
You are blind to the distinction between being a non-believer and being in unbelief. The latter you exemplify.this issue is not what we do. it is who we are
Are we born into Gods family. where he is our abba father
or are we not born into his family. and in a dead state.. where we are not forgiven.
As I stated earlier to Epi. there is a saved state (child) or non saved state (non child)
there is no inbetween
we are either in gods family. or we are not in Gods family.
we are either not condemned through faith
or condemned due to non belief.
A non believer IS IN UNBELIEF EPI . THEY DONT BELIEVE IN HE WHOM GOD DID SEND .You are blind to the distinction between being a non-believer and being in unbelief. The latter you exemplify.
More projecting and equivocatingYou are blind to the distinction between being a non-believer and being in unbelief. The latter you exemplify.
Preach CHRIST till the last breath my friend . Till the last breath . THE LORD IS OUR HOPE and OUR SALVATION .More projecting and equivocating
Well thank you for your opinion. But your wrongYou are blind to the distinction between being a non-believer and being in unbelief. The latter you exemplify.
His faith is in his works to save both him and other religions .A true faith?
A faith where people do not walk in the spirit? Where their faith is in self. and how many good deeds they do?
Come on man. stop puffing yourself up as having real faith. when you have no faith in God at all
Were the Israelites in the wilderness non-believers? They witnessed miracles everyday. And yet God charged them with unbelief.Well thank you for your opinion. But your wrong
No either you can prove me wrong in what I said. And help in the conversation. Or you can prove you have nothing to offer the situation and continue in your arrogance.
Yes indeed let all look to the word and from that we test all . LET ALL that has breath both praise and thank the LORD .No. It is your cult leader who does not understand
I pray you wake up sis. Stop listening to a man, and look to the word.. Because you are being led astray
yes they were. Its why they always complained. Were the Israelites in the wilderness non-believers? They witnessed miracles everyday. And yet God charged them with unbelief.
They never believed God period. They never believed God in the moment.
People don’t walk in faith because they have not recieved the gift of God and been made a child and given the spirit. When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
The living God goes beyond religious beliefs and bible reading. God is alive and present in power and holiness to those who seek Him by faith. Why don't more people walk in Zion IN Christ? ....Unbelief.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
