IF one believes not the gospel they cannot pick up their cross .
The CROSS is not picked up by those who do not believe .
ONLY in CHRIST can we overcome .
Those who believe the gospel will be given power .
But many through self righteous acts will believe they are crucified with Christ . But if one believes not in him its all in vain .
CHRIST did take on our sins in his flesh . So that we being dead to sin should live unto righteousness .
But the problem is we have some trying to act as though those who believe not through acts of self are doing what JESUS has already
done for us . See someone is preaching the defintion of what JESUS did on the cross , but forgetting the fact
one must believe to be saved in the first place .
Its a tricky way to end up believing in a works based salvation . WHEN In truth we can see their error .
Cause they know the lingo . they know how to quoate what JESUS did on the cross .
But then refuse to say other religions have to repent and believe on him .
Instead they give the idea that It just can automatically happen for unbelievers . NO , YE MUST BELIEVE .
PICK up the CROSS and FOLLOW HIM . BELIEVE IN HIM .
I don;t know what you are doing here, but I'm here to declare Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Good to see the Him here capitalized. For Christ was the only one empowered by the Spirit to perform this act. When he told the others to take up their cross and follow he was asking them to do the impossible. Also if you’ll take notice in all of the epistles the cross so rightly is always addressed as belonging to Jesus only.

So many here stating they have taken up some sort of Cross. My question would be, why?

Hebrews 10:20 KJV
[20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Here you’ll see Paul explaining that they entered in to the holiest of Holies where God was through the rent flesh of Christ.

We were crucified- past
Galatians 2:20-I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Actually this says Paul was crucified with Christ. See Paul was a part of that religious organization that died with Jesus. When he nailed it all too HIS cross and triumphed over it the law, ordinances, principalities, all the individuals in self appointed high seats, then Rome built it all back up under the assumptions that we see in place today. Judaism mingled with paganism. Everyone has played their role till this current time.

I went to the cross 40 years ago.

You still have not found the cross..

No, I will not get your gospel. You have no gospel. You deny the payment of sin. You deny the power of the cross. You in effect deny Christ.

You want to run again, Run, It will not stop me
Please explaining how you went too a cross.?

Jesus comes to us. He knocks on the door asking us to come in.

You can;t have access to God UNTIL your sin debt is paid. If you went to him you would die where you stood

for someone who talks about the OT. You failed to grasp the temple sacrifice and day of atonement completely

The reason the High priest could not enter the holy place. was because of sin. It had to be cleaned. that's what the lambs and goats did..The comman man had no access to God. Only the high priest who made atonement for the sin of the people.
You believe God was in that room behind the curtain?

Jesus clearly shows everyone that God was not in that stone building, God was within him. The Veil that was rent was his flesh. God can now be accessed by all through his rent flesh.

That's the problem...there is only scattering going on.....an endless disruption of holier than thou self-promotion using Jesus as a smokescreen for bad form. Anything done with the right attitude is acceptable. Flooding a thread with the same slogans over and over...off topic...is a disruption and a virtue signaling. It dishonours God and is meant to puff up the ego of the one who is constantly drawing attention to himself and how righteous he is...totally off topic. And it creates a mob mentality based on a religious agenda to silence whatever challenges the status quo.

OK So then I point to the cross....and I'm still pointing. I am still pointing to the cross....etc. Are people not edified??? Do I repeat that again in every thread...in every post? Do I subject people to my insecurities about my salvation...by repeating dogmatic statements?

I don't see any glory going to God by being glib and using His name and the sacrifice of Christ in vain. Why isn't it advisable to use wisdom and constraint? Using the sacrifice of the Lord in a proper way with a proper humility and in the fear of the Lord..
the Cross is the means of entering the kingdom. It is the means by which we are born again, It is the means by whch we recieve the spirit. It is the means by which we can WALK WITH GOD. It is the means by which we have the power to obey his commands.

everything you try to talk about is based on the cross. When people try to show you this. You mock them. You dismiss them. You call them pharisees and all other kinds of names.

Oh, the simplicity! And, that's probably why they had the unity in the Spirit, and real power back then, double thumbs up!
Amen,

Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

The rest found in Christ based on the crucification of the lamb of God is where we want to be. It’s the only means that we can walk in the spirit.

The psalmist said ”yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. .for though art with me“

we can’t have this unless we know we are totally forgiven, and assured of eternal life

Paul; said “to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. He also said to live is Christ but to Die is Gain. He also said, all his suffering he considered a momentary light affliction. The only way Paul cauldron say these things is the cross. And the salvation and eternal life whcih comes from the cross. There is no fear of death when you KNOW as John said, you have eternal life. And thats based on the cross.

Please explaining how you went to a cross.?
Please read John 1 and who God gave the power to become children of God and why. John 3, and how to be born again, John 6. About the food which endures to eternal life based on the death (flesh and blood) Romans 6: 1 - 14, Ephesians 1: 13- 14

It’s called doing what the tax collector. And calling out to jesus. And acknowledging his death on the cross is the means of your salvation. Not your good deeds. not your birth, not your parents, Not because you go to church. Not because of anythign else.

As paul said, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but by his mercy he saved us by the washing (baptism) and renewal (new birth) of the Holy Spirit.

May I ask how you went to the cross? Or did you?

No

What jesus showed was the veil that seperated God and Mankind was torn in two. That no longer did a high priest need to enter the holy place. We have access to God through the true lamb of God. Who is our mediator.

As For god being in the Holy place at the time of Christ. No. Israel was in sin there, Gods presence left long before Christ came. And the only reason God was in christ. Was that christ was without sin.
