For the thousandnth time...God IN you is not the same as you IN Him.

Did you read my Chicago analogy and understand it? Does Chicago dwell in you?

Do you realize that you can visit a person's house without them even knowing where you live.???

Now draw that same parallel to Christ. MANY people have been called...visited..given free grace. But FEW are chosen to visit God.

This lack of instruction ya'll have is mind-boggling...and some of you have been believers for more than a year????
Wrong again.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:17
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Romans 8:9
You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

Ephesians 2:22
And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit.

hope this helps !!!

“For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)
Yes being In Him seems to be a stumbling block for some. Christ in you the hope of Glory. A mystery some do not know or understand as per 1 Corinthians 2 though the Spirit. The flesh does not comprehend the Spirit for it is foolishness to them.

Colossians 1:27
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

There is no Biblical " high " calling.

Have you read the NT yet? Paul speaks of the high calling and winning Christ.

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

You will not respond to this...but what is the verse speaking of? ( I ask rhetorically because I would be shocked at ANY honesty beyond a dogmatic rebuttal that is spoken in ignorance).

Hope this helps

Much love

“For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3)

See that?

Your life - in God?
Only those who are crucified. Your religious bent is looking for a self-justifying testimony that you are not claiming truthfully. Truthfully you have no idea what the verse entails beyond a name it, claim it, religious outer man appraisal. I se that the outer man has succeeded in stomping out your actual faith. You are very weak in the inner man. You need to pray...go to the cross...and realize that there is no profit in the flesh.

More unbiblical nonsense.

Phil 3:14-
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Paul is talking about the race we are in and finishing the race as he mentions elsewhere where we run to win the prize. That is in eternity, not here. Its future. so there is no high calling as you claim- we are to press forward, to endure the race and run to win.

High calling is a bad translation

anó: up, above
Original Word: ἄνω
Part of Speech: Adverb
Transliteration: anó
Phonetic Spelling: (an'-o)
Definition: up, above
Usage: up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region.

@Episkopos

You seem to be over analyzing things in scripture.

“Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?” (Ecclesiastes 7:16)
no twisting the meaning of words with levels of calling as in higher vs lower. Its unbiblical. JW's do the same thing.

The body of CHRIST , points to CHRIST . i hope you realize that .
What is this supposed to mean? The body of Christ is... the body of Christ! It is all believers who have been born again into everlasting life. As I have said previously, you set yourself up as the judge of Christ's body. In other words you are judging HIM when you judge His body.

You can rationalize all you want an delude yourself into believing that you are some latter-day John the Baptizer but you are not. You, more than anyone else on this site, judge and condemn other Christians. Be forewarned!! You are judging Christ!!!

It actually sounds biblical to me. And I knew you would be unable to understand the bible reference...or basically almost any other.
Paul is talking about the race we are in and finishing the race as he mentions elsewhere where we run to win the prize. That is in eternity, not here.
More unbiblical nonsense. Heaven is now.... eternity (eternal life) is now. You are mixing up heaven with an afterlife religion like with Valhalla or something. We can be seated in heavenly places...when??? only when we die??? With harps sitting on clouds? Do you study the bible while watching cartoons???

So Paul is running to die??? To run into a chariot? To run over a cliff?

Nonsense...

Its future. so there is no high calling as you claim- we are to press forward, to endure the race and run to win.

Not for you...you have obviously not even been called into it...never mind chosen to experience it.

It all works. You see heaven from a religious afterlife...like the pagan religions of old. But that's not what the gospel is about.

Find out what the gospel is about. Go to the cross. Believe into Christ and you too will have eternal life.

In your own unbiblical strange way of course…

You’re talking in code.

That doesn’t work sir.
I am speaking the truth about the spiritual eternal reality as plainly as I can. But spiritual things sound like foolishness to the carnal mind.

1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

when one argues from the flesh it causes a headache in others. when one argues from the Spirit there is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control. :)
Yep . keep pointing to Christ my friends . Words that point to HIM always bring joy
words that point to men and this all inclusive mindset bring depression .
Lift those hands , its LORD praising time again .

Keep pointing to Christ till the last and the final breath does ebb out of your lungs . Let the KING be praised .
