I agree. I have had communion with God that goes beyond the bible. Some people think the only way to know God is thru the bible. That simply is not correct. We have the Holy Spirit that teaches us to love God and love our neighbor. He also teaches us to obey the commandments.

It is nice to have the bible to refresh our memories about what the Holy Spirit has taught us. And for a history of our faith. But too many think it is the only source of revelation.
The Holy Spirit teaches us through His written word. It is our only source of revelation.

Sounds like the gospel according to Mom: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
Did Jesus' Mom tell Him that? (nope)

Matthew 23:27 NIV
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

Matthew 15:12 NIV
Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”

That would make you a Cessationist. (more BIG man-made words, sorry)
Jesus is essentially saying, "Can you hear me now?"

John 10:27 NIV
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Everyone stay planted in the bible . Men under the guise of the dark one have long entered within christanity
to pull us from the bible so as they can decieve us through emotions and fair speeches .
Stay IN the BIBLE and grow in the grace of God .

I stand by my statement. Bibliolator is a term invented by men, which is used against people they disagree with.

Bibliolater is a term not found in the Scriptures. Not a single person was ever accused of being such in God’s word.

Read Psalm 119 if you’ve a mind to. Was David a Bibliolator?

Amen! A most excellent comment amigo de christo.

The Bible is God’s voice. When I hear it, I am comforted. It gives me hope. It gives me life. It protects me from evil.

I have stored much of it in my heart so that if every Bible on earth were burned, I would still hear Him.

What is your evidence for writing "Men under the guise of the dark one have long entered within christanity [sic]
to pull us from the bible so as they can decieve [sic] us through emotions and fair speeches"?

Do you agree with amigo de christo's statement that "Men under the guise of the dark one have long entered within christanity [sic] to pull us from the bible so as they can decieve [sic] us through emotions and fair speeches" or did you omit it intentionally?

Perhaps you overlooked what I wrote in the OP? (opening post) Quoted below.
To be clear, I love the Bible and use it every day. But I know the difference between the book and the author.
In my experience, my relationship with the author is much more important than my relationship with the book.
Appropriate scriptures come to my mind all day long. Due to the work of the Spirit to quicken these things to my memory.
This topic is not anti-Bible. The topic is addressing those who have made a god out of a book.
Also known as idolatry.

People still will carve and create idols to worship today. Sometimes it could be our usage of something that comes before God. Those idols don’t do anything. They are all earthly. God is spirit and that is something completely different than earthly material.

Does that mean you approve of idolatry?

My approval is for people to worship God in spirit and in truth; Jesus said this because it was what the Father seeks in the heart of mankind. To have a heart towards the heavenly ways, rather than the earthly, seeking out in faith which God is pleased and the Father rewards accordingly to those whom are adopted.

When it comes to do I approve of idolatry, no. It just depends on how much a problem that certain thing can be for someone; that could be from lust, greed, just no desire to have God in their lives, and idolatry doesn’t seem the way to go if you are going follow after the messiah, the heavenly ways and living by the spirit are shown to be the way when a person goes and learns about the Messiah, who was the Word of God, that made flesh and lived among the Jewish community of his time.

My dear friend, Steven! But I must ask, How can we grow closer to one another with the UR wedge driven between us?

You will not overlook it to grow closer so how can I? As long as I have known you, your conversation is centered, and will always return to the UR. Am I to accept what I strongly believe to be false doctrine to grow in fellowship with the followers of UR?

Does not the Scripture say that the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword? What do you suppose that means?

I can assure the Holy Bible is much more that paper and ink, with a leather cover.
First of all, if you are a Christian, it’s kind of doubtful you don’t have at least one wrong doctrine rattling around in your closet somewhere. I mean, unless you want to say you think you have perfect knowledge of God? And if you have imperfect knowledge why would you try to front like someone else has to have something even YOU don’t have?

Secondly, I would hazard a guess and say you might believe in eternal torture? (Don’t have a cow, it’s just a guess). And if so, at least this man has erred on the side of mercy. And with the merciful He will show himself merciful. I mean, you know, if you want to bring the Bible into it. So to have a wall of animosity over someone thinking God will be more merciful than you yourself think He will be is…well, it’s not like the man is saying Jesus is not to be worshiped or anything.

Well, the Scripture plainly places all unbelievers in the lake of fire, if you can show me plainly in Scripture where they get out, then I'll take back everything I said, and join the UR.

If you can't, then it's wishful thinking, don't you think?

If one pushes something they can't prove from Scripture, and especially something that promotes the idea that no matter what you do, one day you will be released from the judgment of God when no such thing exists in Scripture, I see something very wrong in that!

The thing is Charlie, your premise is wanting yet you know it not.....and how does one share a pearl that one suspects will be trampled in the mud?

I’m not asking you to believe in UR. Im wondering if you might be demanding some perfection in understanding from your brother that even YOU don’t possess.

I also think you should be more careful with your judgement of unbelievers since we were told not to judge those outside and also to not judge anything before the time. So I think you’re reaching above your station.
