I am fully aware that you have none sir, why would you? Jesus did not say that, and the Bible states otherwise. We are so priviledged to have the faithful slave that feeds us well. Jehovah provides well sir.

YOU Robert sadly strain at gnats to swallow camels. Jesus most certainly was referring to raising His body from the grave, when He spoke ot the Pharisees, the bible makes it clear so that anyone who can read can understand!

If you do not see that then I fear that what jesus said below may be true of you fully:

Matthew 6:22-34
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

For you to not clearly see Jesus was telling the Pharisees that He would raise His body from the grave concerns me much! It is a telling sign that the light in you is a great, great darkness.

The rank and file have been adequately warned that the Governing Body's
teachings should not be assumed guaranteed free of errors.

Paragraph 12, under the heading; "Who is leading God's People today?" of
the Feb 2017 Watchtower--Study Edition; says:

"The Governing Body is neither inspired nor infallible. Therefore, it can err in
doctrinal matters or in organizational direction. In fact, the Watchtower
Publications Index includes the heading “Beliefs Clarified,” which lists
adjustments in our Scriptural understanding since 1870. Of course, Jesus did
not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food."

but if you disagree with the current teaching de' jour, you are subject to disfellowship. If they "adjust it" later (other words the light in them was darkness) you are still disfellowshipped.

They claim here they are not inspired! Well, that part is true!
but they claimed and have never retracted that they are the sole channel of communication of God on this earth, That they are Gods prophet (later "adjusted" to prophet like) for the earth.

The rank and file are in a bit of a Catch 22

First they are cautioned the Society is neither inspired nor infallible. Then
they are urged to accept the Society's teaching as the providence of God.

"Those who are convinced that The Watchtower is publishing the opinion or
expression of a man should not waste time in looking at it at all. Those who
believe that God uses the Watchtower as a means of communicating to his
people, or of calling attention to his prophecies, should study The
Watchtower."

Wrong again! YOu are once again adding to teh Scriptures. Matt 24 is about enduring to the end of armageddon, and not death as you wrongfully added.

One who is a believer is saved and is hidden. It is Christ who lives in me now!

Colossians 3:2-4
King James Version

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Notice colossians? I shall appear with Him! Not maybe if I did enough good or endured or etc.etc. When God the Father looks down at me- He sees Jesus and not me!

This is th egreat mystery that sets a believer free to freely love and serve and the legalistic and unsaved mind does not comprehend.

Many who think they are saved will hear these words from Jesus as judgement-Matt 7:22-23-- i would say they think like you.

Incidentally why do JW's call God Jehovah?
I thought only heathens slapped names on their "gods and goddesses" like in this Egyptian freak show..:)

God put his name in his written word about 7000 places=YHWH(Jehovah)-By satans will wicked men who had no right removed it.

When Moses asked God's name at the burning bush, God replied "I am that I am", therefore rightly signifying he was too big and awesome to have a name slapped on him, so by calling him 'Jehovah' is to disrespect him by trying to 'humanise' him..

If you did research you will find--The Hebrew scholars say there is no statement in their OT that translates-i am that i am--I will be what i will be is correct. Catholicism mistranslated that statement to mislead. Right after that statement he told Moses-YHWH is my name.=Jehovah. They arent sure if YHWH or YHVH is correct.

What verse is it that God said this? Ex 3:14. Did you ever take a gander at the next verse?

That's what it's come down to; placement of vowels? That's the big picture point, not that God's personal name was removed from Scripture 7,000 times?!

All who know Jesus, trust him, He promised to keep on making his Fathers name known( John 17:26)=Jehovah is the name known for the last 550 years give or take.

You are not only wrong that error is broad. Short story or long story? Short....the name of any person, place, or thing in the Bible cannot start with a J. No J's in the Bible. The J came out about 1400 AD but did not get popular until Shakespeare's time in the 1600's. Just in time for the KJV mistranslations and the language set like a poem from Shakespeare. They changed the Y's to J's a sweeping and massive corruption of the scriptures Old and New Testament. Yeshua, Yahweh, Yob, Yacob, Yoseph, Yames, Yoshua, Yohn etc. They had already removed Yahweh's name from the Old Testament around 6,000 times and inserted the words God or Lord. Christ's name was never in the New Testament, the Apostles used a Greek word that meant honorable man. Christ name is Yeshua or Yahshua, kind of like Ed and Edward. So in the end odds are that God the Father's name nor God the Son's name are in your Bible...unless you write them in there.

I don't care about vowels. The point is God, YHWH, is not Yeshua.

Translating all this into English; the point is God, Jehovah, is not Jesus.

The Watchtower Society's Jesus is dead and his remains hidden away
somewhere on Earth.
(Watchtower magazine, April 15, 1963, p. 237)

This is a very good example of Watchtower double-speak. When they say
Jesus, they're actually talking about an angel whose real name is Michael:
a celestial being mentioned but twice in the entire New Testament.

Seems clear enough to moi..:)-
"Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” (Exodus 3:13-14)

Incidentally some people say Jesus was God, but if that's true why didn't the angel tell Mary to call him Jehovah or Yahveh and not Jesus?
"You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus" (Luke 1:31)

Also, Jesus never called God 'Jehovah' or 'Yahveh', he always called him God, Father and Creator..:)
In short, God is TOO BIG and AWESOME to disrespect him by labelling him with a name as if he was some heathen "god" like in this list of worthless mickey mouse deities..:)-

That is the very reason why God has a distinctive name that no other “god” has. It is to distinguish him from the false gods of this world.....and to *call on his name* means salvation.

As Paul wrote....in Romans 10.....9 For if you publicly declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation. . . . .12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. There is the same Lord over all, who is rich toward all those calling on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.14 However, how will they call on him if they have not put faith in him? How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent out?”

Paul was quoting Joel 2:32, which in the Jewish Tanakh is calling on the name of Yahweh....not Jesus.
That Jesus bears the title “Lord” (which simply identifies one who is your superior, like “Master” or “Sir”) it by no means identifies him as “God”.

Who did Jesus preach to the people about? It was not himself...he was “sent” as a messenger from his Father....a humble servant of his God, who remained his God even after his return to heaven. (Acts 4:27; Revelation 3:12)

Taking God’s unique name out of the Bible has caused nothing but confusion and has given the devil the ‘foot in the door’ that he always wanted.

What better way to alienate people from Yahweh than to put others in his place.....a clear breach of the first Commandment. (Exodus 20:3) All because the Jews failed to do what was asked of them.

Read Exodus 3:15.....God’s name is Yahweh....and the meaning of that name is “I Will Be” or “I Will Become” whatever is necessary to carry out his stated purpose. Why would he be telling Israel who he was if they already knew? He had just rescued them from Egyptian slavery and with miracle after miracle, they didn’t think that his name meant “I Am”. He told them what he would “be, or become” to them as his promise to Abraham was being fulfilled.

On the other hand we could say that satan has tricked people into slapping a disrespectful name on God..:)
Likewise in a recent Judge Judy show a woman said "thank you Judy" after winning the case, but that Byrd bloke told her off for disrespecting her by being too familiar..:)

Wrong agan that is the very thing Paul condemned in the Galatians! They believeed a gospel of works.

obedience-works, I don't think even the most darkened minds in teh Watchtower do not believe that!

Ephesians 2:8-10
King James Version

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are saved forever apart from works! It is all because of Jesus death and physical resurrection.

Now we are saved to do good works, but are not saved or kept saved by good works.

Works are the result of a person being saved.

No problem Ron, you either obey or you don't, but don't think for one minute that Paul contradicted James. Me personally I choose to do the will of Jehovah. May I ask why you are posting here sir, is that not the very work that we Christians are assigned to do? Strange!

Yes Jehovah is th eroad to life- Jesus said it of HImself, "I am the Way"

Satan is not a real god sir! He is an imposter to any throne.

You will find out how real he is sir, of that I am pretty sure. That is his best deception, making people think he doesn't exist. You will find in our discussions Ron, that I believe the Bible, if it says satan is a real god, I believe it. Heck, Jesus even said that the lake of fire was prepared for satan and those who belong to him. I guess your watchtower failed again.
