You need Scripture where the Bible says Jesus is the son of God?
Exactly! That's what the WatchTower does, constantly attack our Bible!
But he aint lying . They sure do this and do this unto their own destruction .Dude-- you have a fixation.
I don't see much they can do with that one.Isaiah 9
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Amen! That's Jesus, MIGHTY GOD! Now watch JW's try to rewrite it to mean something totally different like Satan loves to do.
And that is a VERY important FACT! Jesus is God and received worship. If Jesus wasn't God He would SEVERELY rebuke someone who worshiped Him! That's why Jesus didn't rebuke Thomas for saying to Him, "My Lord and my God"!
I'm starting to miss all the atheists and evolutionists on the other forum I was onExactly! That's what the WatchTower does, constantly attack our Bible!
So it was okay to call Jesus God after the resurrection?Jack-- did anyone call Jesus "my Lord and my God" before the resurrection? Ever? Beuller? Beuller?
If you make no differentiation between the flesh and the spirit it will never make sense for you.
Jesus is not the Father. Jesus is flesh, human, physical. God, the Father is spirit, divine--- not bound by physical (human) nature
You can't answer a question with a question. The question was did anyone call Jesus "my Lord and my God" before the resurrection? It's such a simple question, even a trinitarian can answer it - if one is honest. So it was okay to call Jesus God after the resurrection?

Shoutout to @Mr. E
Hope you been well,
as all here on this forum ofc.
That's true. People also worshipped him before he was crucified.Jesus was born a baby.
Jesus lived as a man.
The word of God came to him.
Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed (made Christ/Messiah)
Jesus was crucified and Jesus died.
His spirit returned to God.
His body was dead and buried.
On the third day he returned in spirit and that body was raised from the tomb no longer bound by physical (human) constraints and he (the Christ) was seen among men.
He was exalted- glorified and worshipped in spirit and truth.
Seems like Jesus would have corrected him if he didn't want that statement in something as important as the inspired Holy Scripture. It is God's word isn't it?You can't answer a question with a question. The question was did anyone call Jesus "my Lord and my God" before the resurrection? For the record, my approach to this question is to recognize it is an exclamation not a statement of fact. For instance, when I drop my toast, butter side down, I am not literally claiming the toast is feces.
In addition, it is merely what someone said, not the narrative. That is, if I am mistaken by someone in the street as being a billionaire is not the same as stating, as a fact, that I am a billionaire. To make more of it than that is so show how desperate and non-existent Scripture supports the dogma.
How do we KNOW Jesus is not God? While God is eternal and unchanging, Jesus died. That Jesus is not God is, therefore, a demonstrable fact.
Our Savior was sent into the world. He already had that title, he didn't have to earn it.I can assure you that the Christ is no mere man. He's the son of God who was made both Lord and Christ.
As TLHKAJ post 46 says puts it into perspective.I do not believe you answered my question nor have I ever found a verse that says I'm not a Christian if I believe Jesus is not God. But if I'm right about Jesus not being God. Then would it be fair to say that you don't know who the Christ is?
Seems like Jesus would have corrected him if he didn't want that statement in something as important as the inspired Holy Scripture. It is God's word isn't it?
I do indeed, it is called defending our Christian Bible from heretics.Dude-- you have a fixation.
You think Jesus became God?Jack-- did anyone call Jesus "my Lord and my God" before the resurrection? Ever? Beuller? Beuller?
It's your word against Thomas and Peter's Word who knew Jesus personally. What are your credentials? If you make no differentiation between the flesh and the spirit it will never make sense for you.

Keep jumping through those hoops and moving the goalposts What you are describing is taking the Lord's name in vain. I think a disciple would know betterWould you assume when someone exclaims “Oh my Lord or My God!” - that they are talking to you? Why do you insist that Thomas must have been addressing Jesus rather than simply praising God?
He had just seen the risen Jesus Christ appear out of thin air among them in a closed room. What was he supposed to say? People confronted with experiences like that fall on their faces. Encounters with the Divine.
