That is not the nations or world. He rules in the lives of His People.
So now the time given in weeks and days and years in various places is 'time itself'. Just admit you don't believe what the bible says. You have that backwards. That short time, is time itself: "a time, times, and half a time."
They are destroyed. That is not the nations or world.
It's so clear. Where are they seeing Him just keeping them in line and telling them what to do rather than destroying them in passages like those? They are destroyed.
Revelation 2:27
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Revelation 19:15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
When many openly display a true and deep ignorance and disdain for the bible I think referring to that group as a cult is a compliment.Haha. That's rich coming from you who accuses others who disagree with you on these things of being part of a cult.
No He rules them. They are destroyed.
First they need some smiting before He gets to ruling.Revelation 2:27
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Revelation 19:15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
No one says Jesus could not at any time come and rule the world. The issue is when His timing is. That is why prophesy was given, to clue some of us in to the timing. Can you tell me how you interpret the following passages:
Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
He rules over broken shivers? No He rules them.
First they need some smiting before He gets to ruling.
Are those who disagree with you a cult? When many openly display a true and deep ignorance and disdain for the bible I think referring to that group as a cult is a compliment.
He rules over nations that have had any enemies of God and wicked rebels destroyed out of them.He rules over broken shivers?
To me, sure. To them, no, they probably think they are the smartest man in the world and well connected. Are those who disagree with you a cult?
I'm not following the argument closely here, but it's good indeed to avoid the attitude which you highlight about calling others cultish if they happen to disagree. Are those who disagree with you a cult?
Highlight your claims in the Scriptures just cited. He rules over nations that have had any enemies of God and wicked rebels destroyed out of them.
Would you agree that if you're free to consider anyone of your choosing to be a cult, then they are equally free to consider you to be a cult?To me, sure. To them, no, they probably think they are the smartest man in the world and well connected.
Just because someone disagrees with some of your interpretations of the Bible means they have a disdain for the Bible? That is complete nonsense. Are you for real? I'm starting to wonder. When many openly display a true and deep ignorance and disdain for the bible I think referring to that group as a cult is a compliment.
You should direct your suggestion to dad, who's been making the recent claim of cultism.I'm not following the argument closely here, but it's good indeed to avoid the attitude which you highlight about calling others cultish if they happen to disagree.
LOL!!! This is the one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen anyone say. Period. Do you not understand that smiting means destroying? Do you also think they just need some being tread in the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God to whip them into shape? LOL!First they need some smiting before He gets to ruling.
That is your takeaway from this passage? No one says Jesus could not at any time come and rule the world. The issue is when His timing is. That is why prophesy was given, to clue some of us in to the timing.
Yes. Jesus begins His work at 30. Then at 33 He comes into Jerusalem on a donkey which is exactly what the scriptures proclaim. This happens at the end of the 69th week.yes. He is anointed at the age of 30 to begin his work.
[ Quote light ]At the end of the 69th week, the Messiah comes on a donkey on Palm Sunday.]
This is the end of his ministry not the beginning
No. The word was not used that wty at all, try to be honest. Are those who disagree with you a cult?
