Well, after the many yrs you profess to studying the bible I did not think you lacked spiritual understanding.

Where in the world did you get that this scripture meant dead saints ?
This is sad bc I know someone preached it to you or taught it for it is a fallacy I too have heard....

This scripture was concerning the difference between Mt Zion and Mt. ,_______ representing Jesus / Gods grace as opposed to [ I cant think of the mountain except Horeb but its a term to differentiate between the two covenants....law vs grace ] lol

That by the law death could be a real possibility to receive even to the animals.

Law = punishments if not repented of = death for the sinner,eternity in torment.
Grace= love and forgiveness= heaven and eternal life.

Do you have any clue about this subject to be making such remarks? When a saint dies, his or her body goes into the grave but the soul and spirit are very much alive and awake in Heaven with Christ. So if you cannot understand the import of what is written in Hebrews 12, it means that you have no clue about this matter. Jesus said that God was not the God of the dead but of the living. And He was referring to the OT saints who had passed on about 2,000 years before Christ.

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living... He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. (Mt 22:31,32; Mk 12:27)

Oh yes.
He meant not psychical life after death but spiritually alive.

Once this body dies, ITS DEAD .
There will come a time we have an incorruptible body but not yet.

He did preach to and they were resurrected to life some saints, after his earthly resurrection from physical, we dont know who they were,nor where they went after they appeared unto men.

Jesus said " I am the life,the truth,and the way"
Dying in Christ, having obeyed, walked in the Spirit and finished our earthly journey in him to the end, we are the just living by faith
