I was wrong… it wasn’t two. The one I was trying to remember in regards to ‘But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in.’ Matthew 23:13
…two days later…
3 John 1:9-10 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, receives us not. [10] Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither does he himself receive the brethren, and forbids them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
Point was…why I kept thinking about that verse is (Imo) neither does he himself receive the brethren, and forbids (prevents, hinders?)them that would,
Sounds similar to: for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in. …which I take as “to prevent, hinder” those from entering in.
