Let me give you some theological advice.
Learn that the NT< has symbolic, allegorical, and literal verses, andParables, in it.
A Parable is a story, its not a doctrine, Tho some can be contextual.
So, never try to force a symbolic verse to be a Literal verse .
So, sheep and goats, tares and wheat, etc..... branches......candlesticks...
This is all symbolic, and is deeply meaningful, but you can't make doctrine out of the symbolic or the allegorical.
If you do that, you are inventing doctrine instead of rightly dividing the word.
Rest assured that that the only people who go to Heaven, are not the people that do good works.
But only the People that God has made Righteous, though the blood and death of Christ on the Cross, end up in heaven.
There are no born again in Hell.
There are no Christ rejectors in Heaven.
You are familiar with the "Lambs book of Life", i assume?
So, for your name to be in there is not dependent on you being good or doing good works.
But is only dependent on you being "made Righteous" = Born again.
