Yes. They are two men very definitely.
Impossible. The two candlesticks are two churches and that is more than just two men.

Yes. They are two men very definitely.
To confirm that they are two MEN all you have to do is read Revelation 11:7-12. Do churches get killed and resurrected?Impossible. The two candlesticks are two churches and that is more than just two men.

The Two Witnesses Are Not Two Men
"When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth." - Rev. 11:10
Revelation clearly teaches that they are 2 literal men:
Nobody's interpretation is needed. The scriptures plainly teach in Rev. 11:10 that the 2 witnesses are flesh and blood individuals.
Do you realize how ludicrous this sounds? Moses and Elijah will be on earth in the future whether you believe it or not. They will not shoot fire out of their mouths, but call down God's judgments upon the wicked. The fact that the 3 1/2 years of drought when Elijah was on earth will be repeated during the reign of the Antichrist is telling. It confirms the presence of Elijah, which is clearly stated in Malachi. In other words, I wouldn't be waiting around right now to see Moses and Elijah to come back to life and travel around the world shooting fire out of their mouths, killing their enemies, like a real life X-Men episode.
If the earth is as empty and desolate as you claim it will be, even 2 humans is overkill, no?Why?
If 2 billion leave earth at the Second Coming (pre-trib), that leaves around 6 billion. If 6 billion leave at the Second Coming, that leaves around 2 billion (post trib).
If only a million people are left having to choose between a mark and a beheading why would more than 2 humans need to be around convincing people to choose death? If there were 200,000 people around, would that change more people's minds to choose death? If all the church was around, why is the church not choosing death, but remaining stubbornly on the fence between the mark and having one's head chopped off. The only way to be resurrected is having one's head chopped off. How are you going to cram 2 billion dead people in Jerusalem for 3.5 days? While the few people left fight against Jesus at Armageddon?
You accept the earth is devoid of people. The tribulation is the end of life for nearly 8 billion people. So having only 2 individuals preaching the truth, whose converts have all cut their heads off, seems reasonable. How is that church going to still persist as 2 billion strong?

When is this supposed to happen? The Holy Spirit inspired Bible speaks of fire that will fall from heaven and burn up the wicked that surround the camp of the saints. Anyone who wants to harm them must be killed in this manner.
When is this supposed to happen?
That has been my point. There are people on earth for the whole 1,000 years. Only those at the end who turn away and fallow Satan's deception are consumed by fire. So life continues on earth in perfection. Just because many start a march across the earth, does not mean the earth was desolate for 1,000 years. When the thousand years are finished.

The Two Witnesses Are Not Two Men
OP ^
Uh...likely an unsubstantial claim.
How can two men represent both two olive trees AND two candlesticks/churches? The two olives trees feel olive oil to the candlesticks because it's oil that they burn. Clearly the two prophets that lie dead for 3.5 days would be the two olive trees. That leaves the other half of the two witnesses as two churches, likely Smyrna and Philadelphia for being the only two churches not rebuked.

Your answer proves that life on earth was thriving for 1,000 years.
So in a tribulum of the Matrix, where people are walking around like things are normal, but they are not, be careful not to step on the Bodies of these Two Witnesses who are laying dead in the streets of the Great City for 3.5 days which are 3.5 years.
