No it's not necessary. Jesus didn't wear special garb. He was a carpenter.that’s why is important to have special garb for those in authority
Only for those that need attention.that’s why is important to have special garb for those in authority
No it does not!and liturgy requires special garb
Yes, but the specific attire was meticuously directed by God for a reason.the mosaic covenant priesthood had special garb
No he did not! That is not in N.T. scripture. He did wear a special linen cloth but it was not anywhere near what the pope wears that looks like a Halloween outfit!Christ as high priest wore special required garb
Acts 2:42 doctrine of the apostles not the Bible alone
Try these
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15
apostolic tradition
Teaching authority of Christ in his church
fundamentalism is darkness!
Christ is the light of the world!
this light extends to His holy church
Dan 2: 44 And in the days of these kings (Roman Caesars) shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 2:2
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
Micah 4:1
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
Lk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Yahweh's people were defiled and they were His bride...your logic is false! Hosea 6:10; Ezekiel 4:13; Hosea 5:3 etc. Your wisdom would make God Himself defiled?
The "end times" basically began with Gen 3:15 and will end with Revelations.when do think the end times begins?
Is the Roman Catholic church correct in saying that it is the mother of all believers? And it must be taught by holy mother church
Check what Jesus said about calling nobody your father:pope simply means father
That whole passage is referring to Hagar and Sarah not 'mother church'. Get real @theefaith Use your God-given intellect and see the lies you have been and are being taught. Or maybe you are the one doing the teaching. You have bad shepherds. John chapter 10.
Matt. 23:9 – Jesus says, “call no man father.” But keithr uses this verse in an attempt to prove that it is wrong for Catholics to call priests “father.” This is an example of “eisegesis” (imposing one’s views upon a passage) as opposed to “exegesis” (drawing out the meaning of the passage from its context). In this verse, Jesus was discouraging His followers from elevating the scribes and Pharisees to the titles of “fathers” and “rabbis” because they were hypocrites. Jesus warns us not to elevate anyone to the level of our heavenly Father.Check what Jesus said about calling nobody your father:
Matthew 23 (WEB):
(1) Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples,
(2) saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sat on Moses’ seat.
(3) All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do.
(4) For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them.
(5) But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments,
(6) and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
(7) the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.
(8) But don’t you be called ‘Rabbi,’ for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
(9) Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven.
(10) Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ.
(11) But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.
(12) Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
(13) “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and as a pretense you make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
(14) “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter.
(15) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehenna as yourselves.
etc.
No it's not necessary. Jesus didn't wear special garb. He was a carpenter.
That was an obvious answer. Real person?
Only for those that need attention.
No it does not!
Yes, but the specific attire was meticuously directed by God for a reason.
No he did not! That is not in N.T. scripture. He did wear a special linen cloth but it was not anywhere near what the pope wears that looks like a Halloween outfit!
Besides, that was OT law. We are in the NT. There is not one shred of evidence that the apostles wore anything but their own clothes.
You quote what you do not know.
Where do you find that Jesus was required to wear a special garb in that verse?Jn 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did
In the true church no one person should be more important than another. We are all part of the same body.Jesus is real!
Do you mean in authority in the church on earth?
@theefaith you left Monday at 10:20 PM #1282 it well alone?
Your silence acknowledged God's people were idolatrous and defiled many times throughout their history, though you believe the Church is somehow beyond such defilement?
I noted you reluctance to engage.
Almost as though you had a rethink, or maybe you were reluctant to acknowledge you were wrong on that occasion.
