I finally caved in and bought some Ribeye steak cuts. It is good!
Coincidentally, I also had Ribeye steak this week. My stepson took us to Chili's for lunch after church last Sunday. Restaurant portions are so huge! My wife and I both had leftovers, which became my lunches on Monday and Wednesday.

Speaking of steak, I haven't fired up the barbeque since, what, since before the Covid shutdowns. I need to check it and make sure everything is working and some wasps haven't made a nest in the gas tube or some fool thing like that.

When I lived in California I had a stainless steel BBQ and would cook Salmon fillets and Ribeye steak. It was super delicious. I cooked it on the frying pan as I don't have a BBQ, but it was still super good. You really can't get Ribeye wrong.

Good morning CB, Getting my first cup of coffee and went for a short, and I mean short, walk this morning as it's 24F out.
That's going to get to the East Coast by this weekend. Those Eastern Redbud trees that are just starting to bloom around here? I hope they're pretty tough.

Just knock the horns off it, pass it through the fire once, and plop it on the plate, ol' Jim used to say.
You might want to take the salt lick away from it first :p I can only eat New York steak that way. I like a little juice in it. My Dad likes burnt food. Dry and burnt. Uggh. I used to eat it nearly raw though.

I always liked my steaks a bit on the rare side. Ha! I remember when was a kid at home and my mother would be grilling hamburgers for us. Every once in a while she would plop a bit of the raw ground beef into her mouth and eat it. I could never convince myself to try that...

Yes that would be disgusting. My ex-girlfriend whose mother was from New Zealand tried to get me to eat cow tongue. Nope!

Hard freeze expected tonight. 20F (-6C). Bad timing; everything is blooming early this year. I brought the patio peach tree inside to try to save the fruit, but we'll probably lose the pears this year.
