Sadly, I fear people like him is tracking a doctrine (osas) because it offends him, so he is to the point he is unable to see what it really teaches. So nothing we or anyone can say will convince him.

Every one of us has things we could lose that we didn't earn.

Having said that, you don't earn it through empty, prideful works, but I guess in a sense you are rewarded for making steadfast decisions, each and every day, to deny self and follow after Christ. There are many verses that prove this if needed.

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Work to show yourself approved unto God ...
Run the race to win and every man that strives for mastery is temperate in all things to obtain a crown.
Fight the good fight, finish the course, keep the faith.

The Bible is loaded with verses that contradict OSAS, it's just a matter of profound denial. There's a term that I cannot think of that means the inability to consciously accept new information that contradicts deeply held beliefs.

Men from the beginning ENDURED in their belief IN God to the day of their Physical death....and Became saved at the times of their physical death.

^ That has not changed. Continues to occur every day.

What DID change was a NEW Offering, for a man to ... Become saved BEFORE their physical death. THAT OFFERING, was an OFFERING, a mans of Heartfull confessed Belief, IN God AND that Jesus IS Gods Christ Messiah.

THAT man DOES NOT WAIT, until his Physical Death TO BECOME SAVED.

You confuse Faith with Salvation.
Men can believe, be gifted Faith from God.
Men can stop believing, and Fall From Faith.

Men Gifted Salvation, do not Fall From Salvation.
To do so would mean, ALL THE WORKS GOD ACCOMPLISHED IN THAT MAN, Have BECOME UNDONE.
