Yes, that’s what I’m saying, from that day forward, they would die in the future. They did not eat from the tree of eternal life yet and God blocked the way to it. If they did not eat from the tree of eternal life, they did not have eternal life in them. So, dying, they would die. Truly. Irrevocably. Except God raises all men again for judgement. Some men will die a second death, never to be raised again.
Matthew 10:28 - "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Ezekiel 18:20 - The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
Agreed Stunned...the soul that goes to "hell" will be destroyed which leads me to ponder antihalation. NOT there at all right now but all the same, we have to look at all options the scriptures show. Ooopsi,,I pulled a "Jen"Off topic

There were four directions men could go from Eden and four rivers that flowed out.
One of those rivers will dry up, per scripture.
So there are four directions, but one of them ends and is not eternal.
And in Revelation God says,

Only one ends in annihilation.
The other 3 remain.
My friend showed me this and I have seen, and continue to see by scripture, he is right.

This seems to be the conclusion of Scriptural disagreements. Invariably, we reach a point where someone says, "It SAYS this, but it MEANS that."
"No, they didn't actually die that very day . . ."

Maybe it is that they started to age the day they tool of the tree. Kind of like when thorns, and thistles, and weeds started sprouting where there were none before.
I am not up on the "second death" but, sure does not sound good!
Isaiah 66:24

You spoke earlier of this passage Marks, It seems the worms that eat the dead bodies never die, and the fire is never quenched. Don't see anything about "souls" in the belly's of the worms...? And, once they are eaten by the worms...are they not poof, gone?
The outer darkness is something I had asked about a few years back and STILL have not heard a good description. It sounds terrible and, it would be totally separated from Gods goodness...forever...? Talk about being UTTERLY alone!
Just hard to piece together these things and, I'm not solid on any of it. But, either way, Love God (obey) and love others as self. :) It's all we really need to do. But it IS SO INTERESTING!

Even if you die you will live.
These are two different things.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Thankfully this is true! And available to all who ask believing.

As an aside, have you noted there are some places it does not say: and God saw that it was good? They are the places He separated.
Laugh all you want, but that doesn't change my countless observations of this truth in action. Disagreements in the Bible, in my experience, arise because someone changes the meanings of words in order to make a passage fit their view, rather than changing their understandings of those words to fit the Scripture.
You still are seeming to hold to a faulty understanding of death, and laughing when things don't fit it.
