I think he might actually RESEMBLE that comment.... OOOPS.... Did I say that out loud. LOL
Barny... I don't think you and I agree on things here... but I do like you... ( which I suppose means NOTHING in the grand scheme of things )... but I just had to say it...
No, Addy, it means EVERYTHING!

Unity is in the Holy Spirit, and He will bring us together in the other ways.

Much love!

Are you saying that there are NO Christians with repetative sins? Christians who have not yet broken free from habitual sins? Sins that arise out of mental disorders?
Not at all. I just believe there's a difference between living in sin and struggling with sin. Is that luxury you just won't allow me?

I strongly suspect we're not as far apart as you might think. And I think it means the world that you like me. I like to be liked. I'm pretty fond of you, myself. :)

Of course not. I'm just looking at pages full of blind judges, who declare others aren't saved if they have ongoing sins. That those ongoing sins mean they aren't believers. When they seem blind to their own sins. That they don't give any indication of acknowedging, much less being repentant, or changing. But OH MY! Let that be seen in another!

When it's in another person, they aren't saved. But when it's in them, it's different. What would you call that?

Much love!

I really wish we could have a decent conversation about the difference between disobedience and disownership... but... it seems we can never get past the issue of those darn OSAS'ers abusing GRACE.... That wretched lot that depends fully on Christ's Atonement and finished work on the cross... How dare they!!!

I'm not saved. I'm still here. I've been born again, though, and Christ has undertaken my case, and He Who has begun a good work in me will be faithful to complete it. It is my heart's desire to endure to the end, and be saved. I still struggle with sin, but no man can pluck me out of His hand. He will not force me to be faithful unto death, though. I have eternal life even now, unless I forfeit it by grieving away His Spirit in blasphemy. :)

As far as others' standing with God is concerned, I make no declaration. But I am bound to warn others of the devil's deceptions.

My issue with the church? Too much study and too little do.

That's why one thing I wonder is, who here has raised children? That's an excellent way to get to understand God's love for us.

Being married is a better way for those who have the opportunity to be in a Christian marriage.

Much love!

Still struggling here, from time to time, but am so thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ, and His life changing ways by the spirit that comes from our Father in heaven.

Hmm.....I guess they must have been just as lost as you and me. Sounds like they didn't have 'nothing but the blood'. They actually had lives of righteousness to go along with 'nothing but the blood' just as John said born again people would. Sounds like legalists damned to hell to me!

Just to clarify for Newbies that may have blessed with “ eyes to see” and have not been ruined by the Legalists yet.....” Nothing But The Blood” means that only TWO THINGS * SAVE* us.....I am talking about Nothing else.....It us the Sacrificial Shed Blood Of Jesus on the Cross and our FAITH in that All- Sufficient Sacrificial Act That is “Signified” by that Blood that Saves a Soul..... NOTHING else for Salvation.....
This is all encompassed by Putting you Total Faith in Paul’s Gospel, given to him by Jesus personally.....Find it in 1Cor15:1-4.....

I am quite certain and agree with my foes, the Followers Of Jesus were GREAT people......not completely sinless but probably closer to that goal than anybody in history.....They were Believers....because of that they had God’s Spirit in them....it was that controlling Spirit that made them like Jesus.....they were not harsh , judgmental Legalists preaching “ do do this and don’t do that” .....they were like the God and the Jesus That they preached about .....full of kindness, full of compassion, eager to forgive sinners , etc. In a Nutshell , they were like Jesus—- Full Of Love .This “Love” for God and this Love for others was the Engine that drove everything else.....
This “ LOVE” is a By-Product Of RESTING in the Gospel .....no “ rest” , no Love.....If Fear— if being obsessed about your “ performance” to “ make yourself worthy” is your motivation —- you have missed everything about True Christianity—— everything you are doing is Dead Works.....God's True Desire is to live THROUGH you.....” Let go and let God”...... that takes Trust.....that takes Faith.....Faith is what Saves.....It’s 90% courage and 10% the rest of that stuff that you hear.....Picture Gideon.....Picture David and Goliath....it takes courage to take God at His Word....Trusting Him ALONE to do the Saving ....putting your ENTIRE confidence in the hands of Jesus, NOT you to do the Saving .....if Jesus does not keep His Word you are in deep trouble....You either Trust *HIM* or you do not....Too many in here are actually trusting in themselves and their ability to repent of all of their sins or having the Will-Power to refrain from all Willful sinning.....worthy goals , indeed , but they do not save......Faith alone does.....God has decided to spend Eternity with those that TRUST Him......Trust—- you got any ?

Since everyone is on Ignore and only my friends are here... LOL

I am going to share a story about my daughter... She had a tough life... she raised me... due to my suffering with severe chronic depression...
She left home when she was 18... and prior to that... she experienced me becoming a Christian... and going to church... A year after me... she became a Christian... and she got involved with the youth ministry... and all was well... I prayed and prayed for her purity... OH my goodness..

There were two things I prayed and hoped that she would never do...
1 is have sex before marriage... OH how I prayed... I did not want her to be like me... I wanted her to MAKE it and be that virginal bride.
2 that she would never have to tell me that she was anything within the LGBTQ arena.

Well... in the stretch of the last 12 years... I have been able to take a sigh of relief regarding issue #2
However... she did not pass my desire for her regarding issue #1... I can remember when I discovered this... I thought my heart would surely break... I wept and wept... as though it was all over... she failed.. it's done... NOW WHAT???

Well... my daughter will be 30 years old in 4 months... and let me tell you... I am so PROUD of her.... She has learned how to ADULT... and she does so very well... she works for a Christian man who helps non profit organizations expand. She is excelling and her walk with Christ is growing... She is learning what is good and what is NOT good... without me hovering over her... or me worrying over her soul.... because I KNOW that God has promised to finish within her what HE has begun... which is a good work.

I quickly learned to allow her some privacy... some dignity... and some respect... and I am so glad I chose to back off and allow her to learn how to fly. We are very close... and I believe that this is largely due to the fact that I learned to place her in God's hands.

She has always known what I WANTED for her... I did not have to badger her... and guilt her about her mistakes... to do so would have been so cruel on my part... and maybe even hypocritical...

It's the same way with us.... YES there is a place for correction... ABSOLUTELY within the church... There is a proper way to do this... Outside this arena... I believe there are far and few instances where we as Christians are 'called' to correct each other.... but that is all you seem to hear about in these forums... correct... correct and correct some more. It's a nasty soup in my opinion.

Anyways... my little heart to heart for the day.

Don't that sound sweet! Blah! Blah! Blah! all manner of evil goes to heaven. And that is why it is a heresy.

That's the empty dismissiveness.

Grace is God's forgiveness of sins.

Should we call your view the "Short Stop Grace Theory"? Would this help?

The Short Stop Grace Theory has your grace running out before you are all the way home.

You are forgetting the entire biblical version of grace my friend .
So lets say it again .
FOR the grace of GOD that brings salvation has appeared unto all , TEACHING US to DENY ungodliness
and wordly lusts and to be living Righteously , godly , soberly in this present world
as we hasten , we wait and we long for the coming of the glorious LORD .

You don’t need a Bible in the religion of @Blood Bought 1953

All you need to do is believe in Christ.

No need for the warnings.

No need for the boring legalistic ramblings of Paul, Christ, and the Apostles.

No need to fear God.

No need to DO ANYTHING.

I wouldn’t be surprised if people of his persuasion even bothered
reading the Bible anymore…
