This sermon was totally refuted by Dr.White, back in 2011...on the dividing line programAdrian Rogers refutes Calvinism:
Hello Cooper,
Election is the work of God the Father giving a multitude of sinners to the Son.
He seeks and saves everyone of them.
Once called to be saints, all elect saints serve God.
The gospel is freely offered to all men who hear it.
A saving response only takes place when the Spirit regenerates a sinner.
No one"accepts" Jesus.
Those elected are made accepted in the Beloved Eph1:6.
Now it is true some are elected to a special calling, as Jer.1:5.....but this did not prevent or hinder his election unto salvation.
I see you are a bit confused here. For God so loved the world (everyone), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (all people) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
Salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit (the Comforter, sent by Jesus) not the Father as you say.
John 16:6-15 KJV
(7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
(15) All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Salvation is a free gift. ALL are chosen (elected) for ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
John 1:11-12 KJV
(11) He came unto his own, and his own received him not. So much for being the elect of God. They received him not.
(12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Yours is an incoherent mess. Below is not for debate. Disagree at your peril.I see you are a bit confused here.
In Jn1...include vs13 and it will help you.not of the will of man...not of the flesh.
Jn3:15-16....actually says....everyone believing.
Salvation is a work of God...all 3 persons
No...all are not elected. This is a complete falsehood.
Perhaps you should study the topic before offering such clear error.
In a rush now...I will offer some resources if you cannot locate them.
I wasn't referring to OSAS. The person I was addressing attacks our Bibles.I'm not sure if attacking the fallacy of OSAS is attacking the Bible. Adam was not always saved.
.
That is who I was addressing as well. I'm sorry I didn't make it clearer. :)I wasn't referring to OSAS. The person I was addressing attacks our Bibles.
It is only those who want out, the backsliders, etc. While ever we are in the family of God, our heavenly Father and Saviour keeps us safe and cares for us.If we could lose our salvation, we would.
Anyone who suggests we could lose salvation has defective understanding of it.
Adam.Anyone who suggests we could lose salvation has defective understanding of it.
Romans 8.38-39 is very clear about the true believer's eternal security...Anyone who suggests we could lose salvation has defective understanding of it.
Sure thing.Salvation is the work of the Triune God from start to finish. That's about the best way I have ever seen that stated. I'm going to adopt that.
Not sure what you are speaking of Cooper.Adam.
Read the top line in my signature.Sure thing.Salvation is the work of the Triune God from start to finish.
The only thing we bring is our sin and shame.
Our Great God has mercy on us...pictured in Ezekiel 16
Not sure what you are speaking of Cooper.
It does not explain or prove anything.Read the top line in my signature.
If you do not understand what God did to Adam, then tough. It does not explain or prove anything.
God saves sinners. Adam was not born with any sin.Gen1:31.....so he was not yet saved. Your whole carnal reasoning is unbiblical. If you do not understand what God did to Adam, then tough.
.
@Iconoclast Eternal security for the believer is actually very clear, e.g., from Romans 8.38-39.It does not explain or prove anything.
Of course it is. I actually believe in ;@Iconoclast Eternal security for the believer is actually very clear, e.g., from Romans 8.38-39.
Rubbish.God saves sinners. Adam was not born with any sin.Gen1:31.....so he was not yet saved. Your whole carnal reasoning is unbiblical.
After the fall God clothed them with the skin of an animal. You have no basis for your claim.
You do not understand biblical salvation.
