I made a mistake and said, "Abraham was justified because he obeyed God." when I should have said "because he believed God."Will you admit you misrepresented what he said? Can you humble yourself? And confess you made a mistake?
I just want to take what John said,
if we claim we do not sin. Or have sin
The active form of the word is what is conclusive, we all have sinned that correct. But he is not saying that, he would have used the past tense form of the word not the present active form.
to say we do not presently do this is to be decieved, that is exactly what John is saying
thank you and amen all glory to God
anything I do in the flesh and not out of love is sin, to say we do not presently do this is to be decieved, that is exactly what John is saying
anything I do in the flesh and not out of love is sin, to say we do not presently do this is to be decieved, that is exactly what John is saying
The point I wanted to make is that belief on its own is not adequate,
as I have said before, Satan believes in God and trembles.
The sign of a true Christian believer is someone who obeys the Lord, keeps the commandments and lives a life that is pleasing to God, and that is what Abraham did. He obeyed God and lived a life pleasing to the Lord. What you might call a Holy Life.
You say, it matters not what we do, we are always saved.
I disagree if your life makes a mockery of the life Christ would have us live, what the Bible calls a righteous life. God loves a righteous person and not a licentious person. You need to put your house in order before it is too late. You could be killed in a car accident, have a heart attack, anything could happen, so drop all this false teaching and get yourself on the right path and follow the God of Abraham in the right and proper manner.
.
Relative to that passage, let me ask, what need do you suppose do God have, who knows the heart of all and each man and who knows all the things you have done and will do, that God tested Abraham?.
You say "Abraham did not obey God!" It is interesting to see the amazing amount of scripture you reject.
The point being, justification does not lead to licentiousness, (Romans 6:2-7) yet you believe "once you are saved you are always saved" regardless of what you do.
Some years later God decided to test Abraham, so he spoke to him. Abraham answered, "Here I am, LORD." The LORD said, "Go get Isaac, your only son, the one you dearly love! Take him to the land of Moriah, and I will show you a mountain where you must sacrifice him to me on the fires of an altar." So Abraham got up early the next morning and chopped wood for the fire. He put a saddle on his donkey and left with Isaac and two servants for the place where God had told him to go. (Genesis 22:1-3)
.
I think it all boils down to understanding what sin is. How one understand sin somehow defines his view about justification.I just want to take what John said,
if we claim we do not sin. Or have sin

The failure to realize why one gets to obey God I think is the problem with some. And I think that until one realizes that, he remains to have a mind such as of one who is under law, as though he could justify himself before God.He said Abraham was not justified because he obeyed God
it’s amazing how love you people go to make it as if someone said something they did not
it’s sad your belief system is so weak you have to lie about others to convince yourself your right
So to get this straightOkay, gotcha.
I do disagree with this part;
Specifically per the Converted.
I believe the Converted, Have Gods Seed. God fully accounts the natural flesh Dead,
(Crucified with Christ)
along with it's natural seed....
(Dead, born again from Gods Seed, an new creature)
What can "your accounted dead flesh 'FREED from SIN' DO" ?
Sin against God? No
* Why not? Because when you submitted to the Lord God, you gave Him authority to KEEP His Promises to you. And one Promise is that HIS Power would KEEP to Faithful unto Him Forever.
Sin against Man? No.
* Why not? Because Sin of man against man was according to Mosaic Law.
Were you ever Under Mosaic Law? I wasn't.
Are you a Jew, released from the Consequences of Mosaic Law ? I wasn't.
Are you a Jew, who continues Under the Mosaic Law, and still bearing the sins against men, and sticking little prays in the whaling wall, because there is no Temple for which to bring a sin offering, (an animal to be slaughtered and IT''S blood yearly given for forgiveness of sins Against God and other men? I'm not.
But much of the NT was expressly to these men, Jews, Tribesmen, Hearing Jesus had fulfilled their Law, and the Consequences of the Law violations Become MOOT, and no Temple necessary, and no animal blood necessary....Jesus' Blood covered Forgiveness For ALL.
I believe John was expressly speaking of All Have Sinned. (No doubt, we were born in sin, and have commited sin) and that those Converted, STILL have SIN "IN" their Flesh...
Forgiven sin, and Covered sin.
God remembers it no more....but men sure like to remember it!
Moving on further to what John also said, from the Wisdom he was Taught by the Word of God Himself.
1 John 3:
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Whosoever...ANY ONE...Jesus, John, You, me.....IS WHAT? Born of God.
If you have Gods Seed in you, YOU ARE Born of God.
That whosoever WHAT?
Doth not commit sin...(sounds like an option, maybe does, maybe does not commit sin)
Eh?
* then Very precise..."He CANNOT SIN."...no guesswork there. That man IS NOT ABLE to COMMIT SIN.
DO, is an act, a commission, committing....
How is that possible when John Himself preached...a man with Gods Seed, Born of God, CAN NOT SIN?
I think you are misunderstanding John's preaching on HAVING SIN, verses Committing sin.
Having Gods Seed, does not make our "having forgiven and covered sin IN OUR BODY" "disappear". It's still there, BUT COVERED. It shall not be "gone" until the day, our bodies are raised "changed" "glorified".
God Bless,

I made a mistake and said, "Abraham was justified because he obeyed God." when I should have said "because he believed God."

Osas does not say mere belief saves you, paul said we are saved by FAITH, faith is not mere belief, mere belief is powerless, it is a dead faith, it can not save. The point I wanted to make is that belief on its own is not adequate, as I have said before, Satan believes in God and trembles. Nothing really that is coming from man is adequate so to speak. It is God who justifies. That is according to His grace, and not according to what we have done. For what man have done, precisely is why man needs the salvation of God.I made a mistake and said, "Abraham was justified because he obeyed God." when I should have said "because he believed God."

If we look only to the law or just commands to figure out what sin is, we lose out and fail to understand what sin isI think it all boils down to understanding what sin is. How one understand what sin somehow defines his view about justification.

We don’t get to give God authority over us. All creation is under God’s authority.* Why not? Because when you submitted to the Lord God, you gave Him authority to KEEP His Promises to you.
Yes. That is being short sighted or I’d say, the old man’s view of what sin is.If we look only to the law or just commands to figure out what sin is, we lose out and fail to understand what sin is
For goodness sake! Ask the Lord, assuming your god, who seems to smile on sin, and has you bound in chains, is my God, and not the imposter, to rid you of that arguing spirit. Christianity is about living the life and spreading light. You condemn legalism, but are the worst nit-picking critic ever. Look to yourself instead of finding fault with others.nice try, you said this..
which he did not say, you twisted what he said, as usual, in attempt to appear humble, you show in reality how proud you are,
I give you one more change, can you repent for misrepresenting what he said?
Osas does not say mere belief saves you, paul said we are saved by FAITH, faith is not mere belief, mere belief is powerless, it is a dead faith, it can not save.
can you also repent of continuing to slander OSAS with your false truth about what they teach?
We don’t get to give God authority over us. All creation is under God’s authority.

so you attack me of sin.For goodness sake! Ask the Lord, assuming your god, who seems to smile on sin, and has you bound in chains, is my God, and not the imposter, to rid you of that arguing spirit. Satan attacks the righteous, and I am the one being attacked in a similar manner to the Pharisees attacking Jesus. They and their religion were so perfect weren't they, just like OSAS is perfect.
.
So to get this straight
you believe you do not sin? Ever?
Justification before God is something that one gets to have, not by one’s doing this or that. For justification is of God and is according to His grace.

* Per the Lord Gods Offering, I could Freely choose to submit my life unto the Lord God.
* Per my Freewill, I submitted my life unto the Lord God.
* Per the Lord Gods' Promise, He "made" me a new creature, born of His Seed.
* Per the Lord Gods Word, "whosoever" IS Born of Gods Seed..."doth not sin"; "can not sin".
* Per my Belief and Trust in the Lord Gods Word...
Correct, I do not sin...ever.
Did you Accept the Lord Gods Offering to be Made a new creature, born of Gods Seed?
And "if so" (which appears your have)...
Do you "continue" to sin? Continue to Stand Against God?
How is that possible, with Gods Power (Spirit), IN YOU?
Curious.
Would you elaborate on examples of what Sin you continue Against God?
Thanks,
Taken
The point remains, we don’t get to give God authority of any sort. He has all authority.Correct.
All of Gods creation IS under Gods authority.
Created Angels ARE under Gods authority.
Created Mankind IS under Gods authority.
Created Animals ARE under God authority.
* (Both Angels AND Mankind AND Animals were CREATED (BY God,) "and" then MADE, (BY God)... "unique" from All other Created things.
* While each Created "thing" (mentioned) has it's OWN "differences", one from the other...
* The ONE "unique" point IS they ALL were "CREATED" (BY God) then "MADE" (By God) to have....FREEWILL.
* Even the "FREEWILL" each was "MADE" to have, IS unique unto it's own "thing".
Elaborating...
Angels - Were "Created" "FAITHFUL" TO God.
"THEIR" "FREEWILL"... is "THEIR" ability to individually "CHOOSE" to REMAIN Faithful To God.....OR NOT.
(Fully noted; by the Word of God...
Some Angels "Freely Chose" to Remain Faithful TO God.
Some Angels "Freely Chose" to NOT Remain Faithful TO God.)
( Fully noted; by the Word of God...Gods ultimate Authority Dictates the Everlasting RESULTS, of Angels who Freely Chose to Remain Faithful to God...and Angels who Freely Chose to Not Remain Faithful to God).
* THE RESULT? Angels who Freely Chose to Not Remain Faithful to God, WERE Separated FROM God.
Mankind - Was "Created" "Very Good".
Mankind - Was "Made" with "FREEWILL" to Choose to REMAIN "Very Good"....or Not.
(Fully noted; by the Word of God...Mankind Created and then Made "Very Good"; Was GIVEN KNOWLEDGE (Directly By the Word of God, How TO Freely Choose to Remain VERY GOOD, or FREELY Chose TO NOT Remain VERY GOOD).
(By the Word of God...Mankind "Freely Chose", to NOT Remain, "very good".
THE RESULT? Mankind was Separated from God.
(Another Unique Difference Between Angels and Mankind...is Reproduction.)
Angels DO NOT Reproduce Angels.
Mankind DOES Reproduce Mankind.
* Mankind Fallen From being VERY GOOD, reproduces ANOTHER mankind of thing, After its own seed, and its own "Condition" of "NOT VERY GOOD".
*** BUMMER...Appears rather gloomy for a man KIND of thing.
***OH WAIT...By the Word of God...God Himself Provides "an Order and a Way"...
For EVERY "KIND" of thing, called a "MAN" kind of thing....to use his OWN FREEWILL...
* And Expressly CHOOSE for his "individual" self...His OWN WILL...To BE "subjected" TO Gods WILL of Being SAVED, Restored Back to Good, Receiving Gods Promise of A New spirit (with Ever lasting Life) and Gods Promise to Be Raise up IN Ever lasting Life...WITH God FOREVER.
While Gods Authority IS Supreme. God has MADE man-kind of thing with FREEWILL, to CHOOSE;
* Forever:
(body Life...without its blood
soul Life...with Gods Breath
spirit Life...with Gods Seed
And Forever WITH GOD)
* Or
Forever Destruction...
(Of mans body...without its blood life
Of mans soul...without Gods Breath
Of mans spirit...without Gods Seed).
*** WHICHEVER a man-Kind of thing (creature) FREELY CHOOSES...
Is EXPRESSLY authorizing God to CARRY OUT HIS OWN, "OFFERING"...
* TO "KEEP" the man-Kind of Creature UNTO Himself....OR
* TO "DESTROY" the man-Kind of Creature FROM His Presence and Remembrance.
Absolutely God has Ultimate Power...
YET, Because God Created and Made a man-kind of thing with FreeWILL...
* Man absolutely has the WILL to Choose Life,
And Does Authorize GOD to TAKE his life and BE WITH God Forever.
* Perhaps it is a Mystery to some men "HOW" a mankind of creature Authorizes God to Take the mans life "unto God Himself"...
The Word of Gods published Knowledge...
notifies us, "HOW". (To whit I can elaborate on that as well).
*** Animals have their own uniqueness in the big picture...can elaborate, but it is not to the point of a man-Kind creature.
Sorry about the lengthy BOLD print, couldn't get it to correct. I post from my phone and not that keen on tecky stuff.
Glory to God,
