I appreciate the words of wisdom and comfort...
The cop's know me there. They threw me in jail once for driving unlicensed several times. If I ever face court in Victoria il go straight to jail again the judge said... Couldn't stay there... No way... Cops were already setting up ambushes to try catch me driving unlicensed.
See, I threw my early life away... Prodigal son...
And so at 43, I'm not as financially stable as I should be. To be honest I don't own much more than this van I sleep in LOL...
Then there is my thorn in my flesh... My drug addiction... If I can't get it I'm fine. If it's there I'm hopeless... I can't get it here so I'm happy about that.
There the main reasons I'm here... Last year's lockdown was yet another reason I had to flee Victoria...
Houses here are cheap. We'll see... It looks like I might be working at a department store... It will pay less than my usual welding job but much easier work
How about u? Your married with kids, right? Nice
And your parents? Are they still in the land of the long white cloud or?
Thanks for sharing Cristo.....so what if you are now middle aged and still are not financially stable. You can do fine I know you can without the addictions of course. Get a local mate that is on the straight and narrow and use him/her to stay clean.....keep your health up and set your goals have you have already...You know the Lord is willing and you know he is, to keep you on the right path. I sometimes get up in the a.m. and then before bed just to speak to him before I get going or have gone for the day...... It becomes a habit very soon...and addictive
Nay, my folks: Dad has passed and my Mom is living to 90 in a few years it seems, near one of my younger sisters in New Jersey. We all moved out to the States a year apart. NZ was kind of depressed for jobs at that time. Even my High School mates moves to OZ...I reached out to one in the North Territories...near Darwin...he was a nerd..I guess I was a bit...one of us was either 1st or 2nd at chess in our town of Levin in those days.
I'm married with two boys, now men. One is your age, and the other a year younger. I know it's getting tougher with jobs and finances these days. I believe the Lord will always provide, especially for his children.
Again Christo I do appreciate you opening up to me. You did not have to, but you did. I'm just one man as you are. Our God looks at us the SAME way on this earth. We are all rotten and need our Saviour. And now we have him in our lives. He won't let us go. He looks at our heart and sees his Son there. That's what counts mate. truly, I stake my life on it.
Bless you, and God be always with you and live in you, through his Son.
Well let's crack on, as they say, and do our 'Scout's Best,' to honor our Father with glory in our lives, everyday. He loves us so much Cristo.
