You would walk around mountains of grace in order to find water. They passed through the Red Sea(water) which you purposely omitted in your question.
Shame on you, Dan.

No, they were baptized by the sea and the cloud. it TYPIFIED water AND Spirit unified to save them. You would walk around mountains of grace in order to find water.I understand they passed through the Red Sea (water) yet they remained dry. So you are saying that the Israelites were water baptized into the body of Moses?
You are throughly indoctrinated and remain confused. No, they were baptized by the sea and the cloud. it TYPIFIED water AND Spirit unified to save them.
'Grace" does not draw swords against Acts 2:38.
And you anti-Acts 2:38 folks are not?You are throughly indoctrinated and remain confused.
I'm not anti-Acts 2:38. Just anti-misinterpretation of Acts 2:38.And you anti-Acts 2:38 folks are not?
What should Acts 2:38 have actually said in your opinion?I'm not anti-Acts 2:38. Just anti-misinterpretation of Acts 2:38.
I already have shared this with you multiple times. Need a refresher? See post #101 from the link below:What should Acts 2:38 have actually said in your opinion?
Please quote it in a specific way to fit your thoughts.
Thanks.
Jesus was not adopted but begotten.
We are adopted per Acts 2:38.
Get it right.

Dan says..."Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins,"I already have shared this with you multiple times. Need a refresher? See post #101 from the link below:
Acts 2:38 has been abandoned by Christianity
Nope, you are adopted and Jesus was conceived(begotten) of God.I have it right. All men are created, begotten. Some are adopted. We and Jesus were both begotten (created) and adopted.
Begotten by God and Mary 2000 years ago.Begotten by whom and when?
In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis.Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins,"
Dan says..."Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins,"
LOL
Peter says....38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Dan fails.
Try this Dan, without deceptive commentary.....In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis.
*Also compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism (Acts 10:47).
In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit - Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.
*So the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 15:8,9; 16:31; 26:18). *Perfect Harmony*
You need to learn how to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.
Truther fails.
What deceptive commentary?Try this Dan, without deceptive commentary.....
Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism, so salvation rests on belief. *NOWHERE does the Bible say "baptized or condemned."16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned....
Already explained in posts #101 and #415. Take off your Campbellism bifocals and read those posts again.38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost....
Amen! Now what happened to baptism in verse 43? It's non existent. These Gentiles believed, received the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (and spoke in tongues which a spiritual gift that is ONLY for the body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12) all BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:43-47) So when are you going to stop fighting against the truth?43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Notice how your blinders did not see Jesus say "believeth and is baptized"....What deceptive commentary?
Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then why did Jesus not mention it in the following verses? (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26). What is the one requirement that Jesus mentions 9 different times in each of these complete statements? *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.
*John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
You need to learn how to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine instead of isolating pet verses then building doctrine on them and ignoring the rest.

Notice how your blinders kept you from reading the second half of the verse ..but he who does not believe will be condemned and your blinders also kept you from reading what Jesus said in John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26. This is what happens through your flawed method of hermeneutics, which is isolate (a pet verse) build (doctrine on it) and ignore (the rest).Notice how your blinders did not see Jesus say "believeth and is baptized"....
Notice how your blinders did not see "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.." in Acts 3:19 (with no mention of baptism) or "..everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins" (with no mention of baptism) so we can see how your blinders ultimately kept you from properly harmonizing scripture with scripture and coming to understand that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 15:8,9; 16:31; 26:18)Notice how your blinders did not see "be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins"....
Your blinders only allow you to isolate your pet verses, build your biased doctrine on them and then you block out the rest.Notice how your blinder only allowed you to see "believeth shall receive remission of sins", but blocked out Jesus' and Peters'. words.
