* In answer to your question (above) - I don't think so: consider Psalm 39:5 and Job 14:1-2 :-
'Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth;
and mine age is as nothing before thee:
verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
Surely every man walketh in a vain shew:
surely they are disquieted in vain:
he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.'
(Psalm 39:5)
'Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down:
he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.'
(Job 14:1-2)
* Consider also Psalm 90:1-11.

Thou rulest the raging of the sea:
when the waves thereof arise,
thou stillest them.'
(Psalm 89:8-9)

"Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?"
Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea;
and there was a great calm.
But the men marvelled, saying,
"What manner of man is this,
that even the winds and the sea obey him!"'

In reply#78, in relation to Psalm 90:12, you asked farouk if it could be compared with Galatians 4:10-11. I, not having seen Farouk's reply in which he said that the verses in Galatians related more to 'ritualistic observance ', commented on your comparison by quoting from verses which I thought were more in keeping with the meaning of Psalm 90:12; to which farouk came back with a good reply (above in #87), in which he said that we are told to consider what a short span of time we have to live, therefore need to 'apply our hearts unto wisdom', so that our lives will be wisely lived: and in the case of the believer, lived to the glory of God.

Sabbath keeping was all part of the Jewish law-keeping system; and Hebrews 7.12 shows that the law was changed and Hebrews 7.19 says that what we now have is better than the law.

Yes, so many Psalms are etched deeply onto the consciousness of Christians in their experience! :)
Psalm 1.1 is a good start; "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly..."
Not to mention 1 Peter 2:1-3. These passages are a sure recipe for "religious preoccupation."
