Mine or one of them has to be Psalm 23: :)
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."
Hi @VictoryinJesus Thanks for your comments.A new favorite Psalm today: Psalm 107:1-43 The first three verses alone are …comforting.
O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
another version: Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. let the redeemed say (so), Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary.
Yet another version (because it has become an favorite) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!
Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
Why it stands out to me so much is …His lovingkindness is everlasting…Let those redeemed of the Lord say so.
Psalm 107 also has the section, 'They that go down to the sea in ships....' It has a moving ending: 'So He bringeth them to their desired haven'.
Psalm 17.15: 'I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.'
Psalm 30.5: 'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.'
@VictoryinJesus I do love that phrase: 'So He bringeth them to their desired haven'. :)yes, all of it! 107 is a great psalm!
A favorite psalm of mine is Psalm 51.@aaronjosephhall FYI....thread I started....
@aaronjosephhall The Psalms are so deeply searching, inexhaustible...A favorite psalm of mine is Psalm 51.
@Faithbuilders We read about David as a young man in Scripture and as an old man also: a range of ages when God remained indeed with him....As I get older, mine has become Psalms 103, I really like verse 5 (your youth is renewed like the eagles)
I posted the scripture on Facebook, my sister-in-law responded, "what, a bald eagle" lol
@Pearl A real favorite.... :)I have many favourites but today it is Psalm 23.
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
