Give God the glory!Hi @Helen, good to see you; dw and I have a lot to be thankful for. Sorry about your time in hospital. I think 1 Samuel 7.12 expressed it well: EBENEZER - 'Hitherto hath the LORD helped us'.

"Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.More, favorite Psalms, please, ppl! :)
@amadeus Thank-you, Sir. Great Psalm there. I saw this poster from Psalm 25 also:"Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD." Psalms 25:1-7
Hi, @Heart2Soul I know what you mean! :)Psalms 103 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ (A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
² Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
³ Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
⁴ Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
⁵ Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
⁶ The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
⁷ He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
⁸ The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

— Psalms 143:10 (KJV)
I love this thread....@Heart2Soul Great verse there! :)
@Heart2Soul The Psalms were originally indeed intended to be sung. (Some churches still do.)I love this thread....
Remember when I was asking how to read Psalms because the Holy Spirit told me to?
I never could get into reading it because it didn't have that flow to it like when reading a book.
Anyway, someone suggested singing them..so I tried it and it worked!
I gained so much hope and comfort through them....and I learned how to earnestly praise and worship God and how to have a heart of repentance... David was a good teacher...he led by example:)
