Thank you. Besides this, there is one other thing that reminds me of the brilliance of Thomas Edison. That other thing is firing civil servants. Trump had no power to fire the Deep State bureaucracy due to the Civil Service Reform Act, 5 U.S.C. Chpts. 43 & 75; 5 C.F.R. §731.202.

Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence that the right of the people includes forming a government that seem to them most likely to secure their peace, security and prosperity. History shows the pendulum never stops in the middle. The reason for the Amendments and the reasons to appeal them is because times change and the tendency of abuse swings from one side to the other. (Humans will never be post-racial).

While I love the idea of timeless principles, politics is the art of what is practical. Until the return of Christ, there will never be a time where the human condition is set on what is the best and only way to secure peace, security, and prosperity. 4 fairly recent examples:

1. 1990's. Pass 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' Now sexual deviants are allowed to openly serve in the military.
2. Freedom of Speech, 1786 1A. A majority of today's college students support passing hate speech laws.
3. 1972, Abortion. Roe v Wade superceded by Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health.
4. Sexism & Racism. OK if for women and Blacks. See Biden's basis for nominating supreme court Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Any and every law can be repealed. No law is carved in stone. Provided the RINOs understand that the very survival of the USA is at stake. This law could also be repealed given the bloated bureaucracies which are draining billions of dollars and not serving the public. For example the FBI could be totally shut down and US Marshals appointed as law enforcement personnel. I believe they still have some integrity. The IRS could also be shut down and another option be found for tax collection and tax disbursements (all under one roof).

The political system seemed to be working well enough for a long time. So what's different now? The difference is God isn't blessing the west any more. That's it. Period, end of story. How would changing the political system bring about God's blessing again? It can't.

So why isn't God blessing the west any more? Sin and lawlessness....the land is polluted with fornications.

Natural disasters, drought, fires, pestilences, floods, tornadoes & hurricanes at least means we're still in His hands...as David said, better to fall into the hands of the Living God than into the hands of merciless men. Christians need to be praying for repentance and revival before He hands the west over to the heathen. Politicians have so many ways of stealing taxpayer money. They are experts at hiding their thefts and lies. Nearly every time they pass a BIG bill they attach other bills that aren't noticed by most. They steal BILLIONS of $$$, maybe even trillions. The "National Debt" is over 28 TRILLION $$$. Where did it all go? To countries who HATE us and in the pockets of the filthy rich. Should we talk about "lobbying" (bribery)? What good do politicians accomplish? Anything?

Interesting question here. From my point of view, I do not even engage in political activity. The reason why is because of how much division there is already in the world from what has been made known through the surplus massive history of just political debate starting way back since nearly the dawn of time. Because of not having enough interest to watch or care about, it is easier to allow God to be able to work with all people by praying for any person you know. Doesn't matter if they are rich or poor. God has allowed the world to work like this, and it has been working like this for a very long time even the times when Jesus was around with the Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, Chief Priests, and Elders.

Praying and talking to God is the biggest importance in life and it is understandable people will be interested in what they are but to fight and bicker over such quarrels to me doesn't make much since. It is easier to relax in the Lord Jesus than it is to try and relax in the World.

Easier but not more responsible. Sure, Praying and talking to God is the biggest importance in life and I am responsible for even the lowest importance item in my life.

Not sure if this is the influence of Andy Stanley, to shun all things politics, who is 'not in it to win it.' While Jesus was a subject of the Roman Empire, I am a citizen of the USA with rights and responsibilities. Consider the Biblical command 'If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink' is rightfully called traitorous at the political level. This bounds us; it means we may treat our personal enemies persuant to Scripture and our political enemies persuant to laws, regulations, rules of engagement, etc.

I don't get the pattern I've seen lately of posters saying in a thread, some version of, 'this subject should not be discussed.' If you don't want to talk about America being better off without politicians, I remind you that you are not required to post in this thread. ;)

Where do you think we are heading? America's big cities are war zones now. Politicians don't care about that. They sat back and let Antifa destroy people's lives. They want to butt in other country's business, and give BILLIONS of $$$ to other corrupt rulers.

• In CA, it is unlawful to use plastics straws.
• In Canada, they dictate what pronouns you use.
• The federal government undermines it's own sovereignty and fights border States in letting in people in defiance of its own laws BECAUSE it thinks these people are more likely to support totalitarianism, 100% government.
• I while back, they would not let people go to church, be within 6' of another and made face coverings mandatory, like Sharia compliant countries.

Having said all this, you still haven't really proposed a feasible alternative.

The ONLY "feasible alternative" is the return of Jesus. It simply amazes me that Christians think voting will help. The system is rigged to the very top! And Satan is the chief. I wonder how much of the National debt has been "foreign aid" to totally corrupt "leaders" of other countries. No doubt trillions of $$$, while decent Americans suffer. Voting is a Satanic false hope!

If the politicians including the FED Court Judges and the Supreme Court in the USA would stop trying to control political and moral change in the culture, and instead serve the people who elected them, then the government would work its best tho all governments are flawed as all people are flawed who make up Gov.
The other issue is.... these political agenda driven people have power, and they will do anything to keep it a little longer.

The COOPERATIONS . WHen the Cooperations do the will of the agenda , We have us a major problem .
Cause when folks can be shut out of society for even dare to speak against certain agendas , THEN we have us a POWERFUL
fourth branch of govt . This fourth branch can get the job done better than the other three can .
Cause most folks dont want to be cast out and unable to function in society . THEY can enslave us all with their new branch .
Course they will use the other three to cast some in prison and etc . Just wait till they come up with fun camps .
ONLY they need to say RE EDUCATION CENTERS . THE LORD is with the lambs so no need to fear man .
