I was referring to mostly those who reject ALL of our English translations.
Well if God has called you to minister to people then He will equip you and anoint you as well and when you preach or teach it will be received because of His anointing on it. :)

Here is a question for you. If someone is constantly attacking the Bible, is it wrong to constantly be defending the Bible? Is that "cramming" it down their throats?

Jesus didn't defend Himself against the accusations of the Pharisees and Sadducees....and we stand on His Word as the Truth and The Truth will set us free.......
When I am in a stalemate with a member over our difference of interpretation and beliefs on a subject I will let them know that they are my brother or sister and that I love them no matter what our differences may be....sometimes I say that I humbly agree to disagree and bow out gracefully from this discussion. Then I pray for them.

If that happened the person would be engaging in erroneous reasoning. They should be called out for their Ad Hominem logical fallacy. I see too many logical fallacies on this forum.
Doing the best we can. Pray for us brother!

I'm just a newb and in the beginnings of getting my bearings here. I was under the impression this as the majority of Christian forums was one for discussions and not primarily and solely for the purpose of debating. I do know when emotions get into a situation of the subject, then debate can ensue. When this occurs, often is the case they become further escalated into crossing over and result in an argument and disputations.

It's an unfortunate circumstance to be on the sidelines and watch helplessly while two or more get into a catfight, scratching, inflicting wounding bites, and pulling hair out, etc. Is Christianity Board a discussion-oriented forum or for debate? I was hoping more in the area of reaching out to each other in a spirit of friendship and sharing our faith in Christ with an aspect of edification and encouragement of the brethren. This is what fellowshipping in the Lord is for and its foremost reason for gathering together as one. Am I incorrect about this? In quoting the opster. "Just curious."
This forum is extremely valuable in "testing" our beliefs.

It is more important to put our beliefs to the test and change them as needed than to fellowship deceived.

You must have a belief you want tested?

If so, toss it out there and see if someone can use a KJV Bible to debunk it.

If you see it cannot be debunked, then it is vindicated.

You can't get this kind of training in some biased seminary.

No it is not. If someone is constantly attacking God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, my wife, my children, my grandchildren, etc. it is by no means wrong to defend them. "Cramming" something down the throat of an attacker is a valid, although not literal, defense.

I don't agree with "toss it out there and see if someone can use a KJV Bible to debunk it". The tone is disturbing. It is reasonable to express one's thoughts without the intimidating thought that some KJVO will try to "debunk it". More reasonably, the topic should be discussed with all with the idea of arriving at the truth (or as close to it as possible), not attacking the person to prove one's idea is the only right one.

yes you could live in an encampment, hunt and live off the land, but then you still need medical care and bullets for your hunting rifle. Then you could represent yourself. Or you could run for office.
ha well i guess that is the image most ppl perceive, yeh; but im already Anarchist, and i am not having to do any of those things right now.

I see that you added this to a previous comment.

NO, Muslim Sharia Law is NOT biblical at all!

Tell me, while you were living under Sharia Law, did you get caned for wearing shorts like some men have? Did you openly quote Bible verses or even carry around a Bible where others could see it? Did you openly tell people about Jesus Christ?

Here's the perspective of a WOMAN who lived under Sharia Law for 30 years:

Unfortunately, sharia - even in Muslim countries - is so against human nature that it has to be imposed by force because often it is rejected. So wherever you see sharia being practiced, it has always come and existed in that society through violence....

Sharia law violates the human rights of women, of non-Muslims because it is part and parcel of sharia law to discriminate against non-Muslims. The commandment to do jihad is perhaps the centerpiece of Islam. It is not just the duty of a Muslim individual to do jihad, it is the duty of the Muslim head of state.

well i have no doubt that there are disgruntled Muslims as well, yes; you have just found what you sought, wadr. Obviously no one was keeping her from using her feet though, right
trust me, most Muslim women live under sharia bc they want to, and yes, it is voluntary in most societies, they have civil courts too. Are there little bergs where they abuse it? sure. Ever been to Mississippi, and dealt with a small-town sherrif there? lol

he said, in satan's dialectic

so pls at least note that i am testifying from experience, and you are denying based upon something you got off the web. Which doesnt mean "not true" ok, but also prolly not an unbiased tale. I was always in more populated areas, surely less strict Islam, and yes i can admit that there were surely places where it is abused, just like ours
