The Most important Doctrine in the Bible would be the 1st Commandment, and Paul's Gospel.
Actually it would be the fear of God Who burned Sodom alive "making them an example".

Well that sure chops out one of the main doctrines of the Bible.
Yeah, like the most foremost command of all?

Mark 12:28-30 said:
28 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

Like I said, now you won’t understand, but later you will. Maybe.

Genesis 12

Abram made a defensive move by deception.

Pharaoh was not exactly righteous, either. Did he give Sarai a choice?

as predicted by Abram

because of his taking of Sarai without asking first.

Neither Abram nor Pharaoh was innocent in this affair.

What did Abram learn from this?

Ironically, he did it again some twenty years later. This time, as Abraham and Sarah, Genesis 20:

Again, a local king took Abraham's wife. Again, God personally intervened:

God was in control despite Abraham's actions.

Why did God punish Pharaoh if it was Abram's fault?

Pharaoh wasn't exactly innocent. In fact, God intervened to spare him and his people from further punishment.
Egypt was the only place at that time, Abraham could buy grain. But the pagans there, since Sarah was beautiful, if they knew Abraham was her husband, they would have killed him in order to gain Sarah.

So he had to lie that she was his sister (apparently half-sister), since pharoh's eyes is set on her probably for the night or so. There's no preparation for marriage ceremony, but rather preparation for sexual pleasure ceremony.

Abraham had faith in GOD, and GOD likewise called him HIS friend, that GOD shall surely provide a way out, as the same later for Isaac.
