I would bring it before God in prayer and let him decide. :)
On the other hand God gave us the gift of discernment to decide for ourselves, so I personally wouldn't like to pester him for guidance..;)

God is not like a worldly father. He delights his children and if discernment was used in the O/P, this topic would be moot ;)On the other hand God gave us the gift of discernment to decide for ourselves, so I personally wouldn't like to pester him for guidance..;)
I'm gonna pick the one who needs the job the most and the one who actually wants to do their job.Suppose you ran a business and were hiring a new worker.
Let's suppose two people apply and they both sound fantastic with excellent references and skills and are vey good at the interview, so there's nothing to choose between them.
However, one says he's a christian, and the other says he's a nonchristian or atheist.
Which one would you hire?
One would expect that the Christian not only wants the job, but wants to do an excellent job, since everything the Christian does is done as unto the Lord.I mean, yes, I'm going to expect the Christian person to have more moral values, but the right fit is going to be the person who WANTS to do the job.
Which by difinition are not real. This thread is dealing in hypotheticals.

Yes but the bottom line is that although nonchristians like to think they're nice people, they wouldn't reject Jesus if they were really nice..:)
.Let me put it this way- which of the two applicants is more likely to-
1- Smoke like a chimney and need "smoke breaks"
2- Drink like a fish and turn up for work sloshed
3- Take days off for no valid reason
4- Selfishly put himself first rather than being loyal to the boss?
